I am extremely disappointed with my experience purchasing a used vehicle from Herson’s Kia. The car came with a warranty, and while it was inconvenient, I brought it back to the dealership several times bec a used vehicle from Herson’s Kia. The car came with a warranty, and while it was inconvenient, I brought it back to the dealership several times because I was experiencing a noticeable jerk/hesitation between approximately 25–35 mph. Each time, I was told that their technicians could not find or duplicate the problem. I even offered to leave the vehicle with the dealership so their mechanic could drive it and experience the issue firsthand, since it was very consistent for me. That offer was declined. Fast-forward a few years, and the problem has become significantly more noticeable. This time, the dealership was actually able to duplicate the issue—but because the vehicle is now out of warranty, they refused to repair it. I am now facing an estimated $13,000 repair bill for a problem that I repeatedly brought to their attention while the vehicle was still under warranty. In my opinion, this should have been properly diagnosed when I first reported it. Had the dealership taken the time to investigate the issue thoroughly—or simply accepted my offer to keep the car and have a mechanic drive it—the situation might have been very different. I understand that warranties have expiration dates, but that doesn't change the fact that I reported this problem multiple times while the vehicle was covered. The fact that the dealership can now reproduce the same problem makes the previous "could not duplicate" responses especially frustrating. Based on this experience, I am very unhappy with the service I received from Herson’s Kia. I expected much better diagnostic work and customer service from a dealership, and I would be very hesitant to purchase another vehicle from them or recommend them to others. More

I had such a positive experience purchasing my new Kia Seltos from Herson’s Kia. I came into this process knowing what I liked, knowing my budget, and asking a lot of questions. Ernesto Caraballo was patient with me through all of it. I appreciated that the process felt like a conversation instead of a pressure campaign. We went back and forth on the numbers, I took time to talk things through with my husband, and Ernesto continued working with me until we landed on terms I felt comfortable accepting. I never felt like I had to make a decision before I was ready. And then there was the car itself. I drove the Seltos X Line and immediately loved how it felt. The pale gray color, the moonroof that was a wonderful surprise, the comfort, and the overall personality of the car just felt right for me. After driving and comparing several vehicles and visiting other dealerships, I kept coming back to this one. Herson’s is also close to home, which made the experience even better. There is something nice about finding the right car without having to travel all over Maryland to get it. I am especially grateful to Ernesto for working with me respectfully and making what could have been a stressful process feel much more human. I walked away feeling good about my decision, excited about my new car, and not like I had survived a battle with a dealership. 😂 Thank you, Ernesto and the Herson’s Kia team, for helping me begin this next chapter on four wheels.
