My friend in Turkey who is the Training Manager in Hyundai Turkey advised me to buy Hyundai So Hello, on May 3rd ,2016, I relocated from Turkey to US. My friend in Turkey who is the Training Manager in Hyundai Turkey advised me to buy Hyundai Sonata due to its properties and the value. So I went to the Hertreich New Castle, DE dealer without looking at any other options. I stated my situation very clearly and I was going to buy the car in cash as I had no credit history in US yet. Then I am told that there was a new Hyundai Finance Scheme that could help me and offered a financing with 6% interest rate which was high but I accepted it to initiate a history. Although there are 0 interest rates offered in the market, as well as other campaigns without down-payments.. I made the down payment and at that point everything seemed fine. All the paperwork was provided and etc. With the given terms and guidance we had the deal. I got a 2016 Sonata.. But two weeks later , the nightmare began, suddenly Hyundai Motor Finance started asking me for additional documents that made a sense and was not possible to provide. But then again instead of working, I spent my week supplying them with additional info.. In the end, now they are threatening me to increase the interest rate to 9%, because I do not have a visa and I do not have the risk of going back to Turkey.. Does this makes sense or was it a trap for me. I have a job, I am a lawful permanent resident, I am more secure than most applicants, I have a good income instead of reducing the rate, they are talking about increasing the rates. I feel cheated and discriminated for being a new comer and as a woman who tried to buy a decent car. This is outrageous and I regret the day I bought the Sonata and I am returning back the car, if the interest rate is either lowered. More
