Overall, we had a very good experience buying a new car from Heyward Allen and working with David McCoy. He was very friendly and helpful. He took the time to listen to all the details of what we wanted and he helped us to get the price we were hoping for as well. This is the second time we have bought a Toyota with David. Some of the other staff that we met there were not as helpful or friendly as he was. We also had to send our car out (after purchase) to get the windows tinted and it was not returned to us the next day as promised so we had to wait an extra day without our car. Fairly minor negatives but this is why it wasn't the "perfect" experience for us. More
From the time I arrived at the dealership I was treated very friendly. The salesmen were not pushy during the buying process. My overall experience with this dealership for the purchase of a 2010 Toyota Corolla was good, mostly due to the salesman, Rob Harbison. Rob was very personable and never once did I feel that I was being pressured. I had already done a lot of research before I showed up at the dealership, so I only test drove the one car. The negotiations about the price went fine, because I knew what a Corolla with that mileage should be selling for. The car was competitively priced. There was a bit of a glitch in getting the financing taken care of because we had to wait more than an hour to see the finance manager, John Dispoto. We ended up leaving and coming back the next morning to finish everything. Mr. Dispoto was efficient and answered my questions adequately, but was not the friendliest person to deal with. Another situation was that there needed to be some touch up work on the paint. Rob coordinated this with the service dept. and I brought the car back and waited. It was handled well and I am satisfied with the work. With all of that being said, I recommend Heyward Allen Toyota for anyone looking to purchase a car, and highly recommend Rob Harbison. It was great to work with David McCoy on the purchase of our new Toyota Prius C. Cliff Washington was very rude with me at the time of signing all of the paper work. He wouldn't explain what I was signing. I noticed that he was bothered when I asked him how much the APR would be. I explained that I was told that it was going to be 4.49% and from there he seemed to be bothered about it. He changed it in the end to 4.49%. He was unable to answer any of my questions and he did not seem to bother to find out for me. He told me that the payment was June 28th and I asked if he could change it to another date so that we could have 45 days to make the payment like other dealers. He told me, "no, it depends on the bank. you're looking for lower pay, lower APR, and you don't even want to pay on the 28th". He made me feel really bad after that from how he was treating me. He never tried to excuse himself. I asked him why he wasn't treating me, a customer, better and he replied, "You're not paying me, you're paying the bank". I wish that all everyone there could treat the people like S.L Mitchell. Unlike Mr. Washington, S.L Mitchell was a lot nicer. More

This was our third great experience at this dealership within the past 10 years, when purchasing a car. Tim Jump was thoughtful and considerate of our needs in helping us find the right car. It was a very pleasant, low-pressure experience, and we were thrilled to get exactly the used car we were looking for, right here in our hometown! We have always had almost all of our service performed here, also --- even on the Lexus we previously owned. We always find the staff professional, courteous, and extremely competent. They never try to sell us a service we don't need, so we can trust their advice and the long-term performance of our vehicles. In fact, the only reason we haven't bought more cars at Heyward Allen, is that they keep our Toyota products in such great condition. We never want to trade them, until we simply find ourselves needing a newer one! More
