I find it disappointing or even bordering on unethical the policy of the Hickory Used Car Superstore dealership (associated with Everitt) on deposits placed to hold a car with intention to buy. About a mo the policy of the Hickory Used Car Superstore dealership (associated with Everitt) on deposits placed to hold a car with intention to buy. About a month ago my friend made an offer on a 2020 Subaru that had already been on the lot for a month. An amount was agreed upon, dependent on the trade-in offer for her car. To hold the car, they requested and she provided a $100 deposit. One day later, she presented her car for assessment/offer. A deal was struck, including her trade in. The finance department tried but failed to obtain financing for her- this was the same day she brought in her trade, and 1 day after placing the deposit. The only reason she did not buy the car was failure to obtain financing. Yet in-spite of this reason and the brevity of the hold, this dealership chose to keep her deposit. They have every right to do so, and I have every right to warn potential customers what kind of management you will be dealing with. That car remains for sale on their lot today. I can't help but wonder how many offers on the car they received but had to turn down during the 24 hours that they held the car. Likely zero. Had she obtained financing but then backed out, that would be a different thing. Our sales rep Nick was fantastic to deal with and has no ability to change this seedy policy. One star given due to our sales rep, and one star for the efforts of the finance department. Zero stars for management and for common sense. There are plenty of alternatives for finding a used car- I recommend taking them. More

It was the least amount of time I’ve ever spent in a car dealer and the best experience I have had. It was more like buying a car from a friend than a car salesman. We will definitely do business with him and Hickory Used Car Superstore again! More
After leaving the review below on Google, I was contacted by the dealership and asked what could be done to remove my bad review. I was offered no solutions and have not received a response from anyone despi by the dealership and asked what could be done to remove my bad review. I was offered no solutions and have not received a response from anyone despite their comment telling me to let them know if there was anything the can do to help. When I called back to talk about what could be done, I was told that they couldn’t negotiate or discuss anything with me but would forward it to the manager. Here we are over a week later with no response. Apparently, they call anyone who leaves a bad review and ask them to remove it. Do not buy from here. I was sold a van than in April that shut off at a light the day I drove it off the lot. I brought it back and got the run around about getting it fixed. They didn’t tell the mechanic about the car shutting off, just that the engine shuddered. They fixed the engine mounts and planned to give it back until I called the mechanic who told me the dealer Andrew did not tell them about the engine shutting off. I was told they replaced the torque converter but they had no paperwork to give me because they used a “certified used” part. The lock on the passenger side sliding door does not lock. The radiator had to be replaced and the reservoir was full of gunk because there was stop leak in it. I just had the torque converter replaced and most of the transmission rebuilt. Now the car is shutting off at lights again. Horrible dealer that will sell a piece of junk to a young family for as much as they can squeeze out of you. More

I inquired and was given all car info and it was available. Drove 100 miles round trip. I saw the car in parking lot took a short look and went inside. No one acknowledged me. I wait 10 minutes stil available. Drove 100 miles round trip. I saw the car in parking lot took a short look and went inside. No one acknowledged me. I wait 10 minutes still no greeting. So I go back in my email reply I am here. A few minutes later I see a worker get in the car. I finally asked someone he looked me up and said okay. A few minutes later they tell me they sold it online to someone in Georgia. No apology and a half hearted not full attention attempt to Upsell me a 28000 BMW. Still no apology. So yes no way to do business. More

I went to the used car superstore to look at a 2003 dodge ram. I was excited because it was listed at 8k but I was offered 7k so I was at least planning to look at it. When I got there the truck sounded bad ram. I was excited because it was listed at 8k but I was offered 7k so I was at least planning to look at it. When I got there the truck sounded bad pulling into the parking spot and when the guy got out he handed me the keys and when I started it up it had a check engine light. That was a immediate red flag as it should already been taken care of before being posted on their sight but we took it down the road. It did drive fine but I noticed it was really weak even for a v6 we got back and I looked it over even the undercarriage. It all looked OK but all four tires was slick and needed to be changed and the check engine light was a piston misfire. I told him if he would fix the misfire and engine light as well as put 4 new tires on if give him 6.5k it was more then fair for the truck. He said for a vehicle like this when we get hundreds of calls about it we typically don't go down in price and I offered the same to him again after explaining the faults with it and he said if I do 6.5 you have to put the tires on yourself.i was irritated because this once again should have been taken care of by them it's not my job to fix cars from the dealership but I declined and he didn't make a effort to make it worth my time this is the 3rd bad experience with these guys and the last I'm done with chevrolet and the used car store.
