That is very disappointing to us, especially when it appears from your review that we really did nothing wrong except point out the problem with the vehicle McDavid sold you. As you probably know, CarFax is a reporting agency, but can only report what is reported to them. If the vehicle had previous damage that was unreported, CarFax would have no way of knowing, but if McDavid told you they inspected the vehicle and found nothing wrong they are either lying to you or have incompetent mechanics. As for their offer, it is easy to make an offer they don't have to honor; it might as well be a million dollars. If they lied to you about your first car, doesn't it seem likely that they would lie to you about the offer too? Our appraisers are professionals and while all vehicle appraisals are subjective in nature it is highly unlikely that they would miss a vehicle by $3,000. As the top selling new and certifed preowned Acura dealer in eleven states. We take every complaint very seriously. Since it appears from your review that your experience with Mac Churchill Acura, other than that caused by McDavid Acura, was a pleasant experience (4 Stars for Customer Service and Friendliness), it seems your real complaint is with McDavid Acura for not disclosing the damage on your first car. I realize there is not much I can do at this point, since the contract has already been processed, but given the nature of the complaint I humbly ask that you reconsider the negative review you posted on DealerRater.com and redirect it to real culprit, McDavid Acura. Please do not delude yourself: I did NOT have a 4-star experience at Mac Churchill Acura - and I do not plan to ever do business with your dealership again. Yes, Onay was nice, but the entire experience is what I'm giving 0 - 1 star. I do not appreciate being told repeatedly what a great deal - and what a fair deal - I got. I believe my trade-in value was too low, the lease payment was too high, the miles allowed on tyhe lease were too low, and the down payment was more than I wanted to pay. If the customer doesn't feel that they were treated fairly (or got a good deal), then the dealership's opinion isn't going to change that fact. Additionally, after my first post, I was informed by my credit union that they had received a couple of calls from MC Acura attempting to get information. That wouldn't be a problem, but it is illegal when someone claims to be me, which is exactly what happened. Then, to make matters worse, when I called Mac Churchill to let him know what had happened, he questioned my integrity and honesty! Amazing. What your dealership did wrong was to continue to press for the sale, knowing that I needed my car to have any recourse with David McDavid Acura. Then they had some woman impersonate me to gain access to information at my credit union. The bottom line is this: My car was worth more than MC Acura offered. I called the next morning requesting that the deal be undone, and MC wouldn't hear of it. Your delership should have advised me to take my car back to McDavid so that they could attempt to make it right. Although you held me to my lease, you purchased my word of mouth advertising - and an unhappy customer is usually a very vocal one. If I could go back and undo the entire transaction and walk away before the papers were ever signed, I would. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with a vehicle that I really don't even want. Every time I look at it, I am reminded of my bad experience. You can be sure that I will trade it in (somewhere besides MC Acura) the first moment I can. The final update is that I called Chris Hammoud (sp?), one of your sales managers and told him about my experience. I asked him if it would be possible to take my trade-in out of the deal. He kindly worked to make that happen. I'm very thankful that he was willing to help me. Although I still feel like I'm stuck with a vehicle I don't want, I do have my car back - and I will be taking it to David McDavid for an inspection. It will be interesting to see what they find! At least I no longer have to feel that I just threw my car away on a totally bad deal!
