From my very first phone call, Kadin was responsive, knowledgeable, and actually answered my questions instead of giving me the runaround. Every time I reached out, he communicated quickly and made the process easy. When it came time to make the numbers work, Lori stepped in and made it happen. There was no pressure, no games, and no hours of back-and-forth. She worked hard to get us where we wanted to be, and you could tell she genuinely cared about earning our business. Then we met Preston in finance, and honestly, finance is usually the part everyone dreads. Not this time. He explained everything clearly, answered every question, and made sure we understood exactly what we were signing without making us feel rushed. The whole dealership has a small, family-friendly atmosphere that makes you feel like people actually enjoy what they do. Everyone treated us with respect, communicated well, and made buying our Santa Fe XRT an enjoyable experience. In a world where customer service seems to be disappearing, Hiley Hyundai reminded me that there are still dealerships that believe in taking care of people. This is the forth vehicle we have purchased from a Hiley dealer in the metro area. That speaks volumes because they are almost 400 miles from our residence. I don’t usually leave reviews, but after everything I’ve experienced, I feel obligated to share this so others can make an informed decision. 🚗 Purchase & Expectations I purchased a Certified Pre-Own experienced, I feel obligated to share this so others can make an informed decision. 🚗 Purchase & Expectations I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe from Hiley Hyundai on August 15, 2025. Like most buyers, I trusted the CPO process, especially the multi-point inspection that’s supposed to ensure the vehicle is in excellent condition. ⚠️ Issues Shortly After Purchase Within six months of ownership and under 8,500 miles, my check engine light came on and the vehicle presented multiple engine-related issues (9 codes total). This is not something you expect from a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle that supposedly passed inspection. 🔧 Repairs & Corporate Response I followed proper procedure and took the vehicle to a Hyundai dealership for diagnosis and repair. After weeks of back and forth with Hyundai Corporate: One repair was covered at 100% One repair was only covered at 65% Another repair was not covered at all This left me responsible for hundreds + tax out of pocket, for issues I did not cause. Even though I have a warranty that is supposed to cover all of these issues. 🏢 Dealership Response (Hiley Hyundai) Because this vehicle was sold to me as CPO, I reached out to Hiley Hyundai for assistance. The General Manager initially responded and said he would look into it. I provided a full breakdown of costs and timeline I clarified that the issue began before the 6-month mark After that, communication stalled, and I was ultimately told the dealership would not assist in any way. 💸 The Reality At this point: I’ve made multiple car payments I’ve maintained full insurance I’ve been without my vehicle for months while it sits in a shop And I’m still expected to pay for repairs on a CPO vehicle shortly after purchase ❌ The Biggest Issue: Lack of Accountability The most disappointing part is not just the repair itself, it’s the lack of ownership. A dealership that sells Certified Pre-Owned vehicles should stand behind what they sell, especially when issues arise this quickly. Instead, I’ve been passed between corporate and the dealership with no real resolution. 📄 Next Steps Because Hiley Hyundai has refused to assist, I am now proceeding with a BBB Auto Line complaint and formal dispute process. I made every effort to resolve this privately and professionally before taking this step. ⚠️ Advice to Future Buyers If you are considering purchasing from Hiley Hyundai: Do not rely solely on the “Certified” label Get everything documented clearly Be prepared to advocate for yourself if issues arise Final Thoughts I truly wanted to resolve this without going public, but after weeks of delays, lack of follow-up, and refusal to help, I felt this was necessary. I hope this review helps someone avoid the situation I’ve had to go through. No one deserves this treatment and lack of care. More
