The salesmen tried to get me to sign a contract that was written in sharpie within minutes and typical "let me go see what the manager says...". Undercut the value of my trade to a laughable price. Once the manager came out to talk to me he continued to pull the same used car salesmen BS. I am very glad the deal was not made with this type of dealer. One of the managers followed up with me in an attempt to rectify the situation once and then never called again. More

Sales-Friendly - not "Salesy" My wife and I went into this dealership because the Honda Accord was on her short list of vehicles. Although she ended up buying a totally different m My wife and I went into this dealership because the Honda Accord was on her short list of vehicles. Although she ended up buying a totally different make and model, I was also in the market for a new truck and really liked what I had read online about the Ridgeline. Because of the way Shawn Belz treated us, I made it a point to go back to this dealership to buy my car from him. He was very helpful and low-key, treating you like a real person rather than a number on a sales chart. He promised he wouldn't harass us with constant follow-up phone calls and he was a man true to his word. In contrast, I visited three other local Honda dealers and at least two of them were constantly calling me, sometimes more than once a day. We didn't experience any of that with Shawn and that is why I went back to him specifically to try to get a deal done, because he was pleasant and friendly without being pushy and overbearing. He's also been very receptive after the sale, calling me to see how things were going and being available for the inevitable oddball questions a customer might have after buying a new vehicle. I also found the finance manager to be equally as pleasant and not pushy. I've had one occasion to visit the service department since to have a small issue checked out and they were also responsive and friendly, solving the problem for me. Overall, it's been a great experience so far and I would definitely recommend Shawn and everyone at Hilton Head Honda as a great choice for anyone looking for a new car, especially if you're like me and only buy a new car once every 10 years.
