Service Experience I am reviewing my experience with the service department for the two or three visits before my recent one. I have been servicing my car with Duval Maz I am reviewing my experience with the service department for the two or three visits before my recent one. I have been servicing my car with Duval Mazda since 2007, and since then my experience has been nothing less than satisfactory. Even though I have given 5 stars this time, I would like to say that the two or theee experiences I had before my last service didnt even deserve a one star review. I met a new service technician that, in my opinion, needs a little more training. Maybe to others he is excellent, but the latest conversation I had with him signaled to me a lack of knowledge. I hate to be brutal and honest at times but how would you be able to increase the number of 5 star reviews if you dont know of the experiences the customers had. I was disappointed that after 3 trips to Duval Mazda, first one for the initial service. The second was because I didnt believe my tires were rotated, and they weren't. We took a lap around Phillips Highway because my car started pulling to the side, which in the 9 years i have had it, it never did. I asked the technician during the ride whether it needed an alignment and he said no. I know that my alignment wasnt done for a long time and I was WILLING to pay to get the alignment checked, even done, if it needed one. He replied with a no, even though I knew he was wrong. At this point I was over it and I knew new tires were in my near future so I just said whatever and left. The third visit was for the same thing. My front tires were bald, inner thread completely worn and honestly I wasn't comfortable driving the vehicle anymore. I went back to show them what happened to the tires, at which point a different technician did the rotation even noting on the paperwork that wires started showing on the tires that were in the front from the beginning. After this service, I went home angry, i was so over it. In my opinion, I dont care if i drive an ancient vehicle or the newest vehicle on the road, if i pay you and am willing to pay you, please do the work. That incident goes back to my opinion of that technician maybe needing addition training. I went to a different service and got new tires and they checked my alignment, which i have paperwork to show how far off the alignment was, and it was extremely off. This just proved to me that I was right, once again. Other than that one incident i am really happy with Duval Mazda service so far even though I will no longer be getting any work done other than the routine oil change, or any repairs that may come up. I did not get to take my car to the recent visit, but i did go over the paperwork and it looks like the technician who did the original oil change did the work, and now im wondering if the oil change was really done. Its not going to be the same oil change and rotation every 5k miles because obviously it doesnt get done even if you ask and pay, at least with that technician thats how it is. By the way, the service advisors are and have always been informative and welcoming, so cudos to them. More

Unbelieveable Dealership Experience Experience at this dealership was absolutely UNBELIEVABLE ! First time at Duval Mazda of the Avenues. Arrived at the dealership and walked around th Experience at this dealership was absolutely UNBELIEVABLE ! First time at Duval Mazda of the Avenues. Arrived at the dealership and walked around the new car area. One salesperson outside talking to a service technician. Made NO effort to connect. Eventually went into the showroom. The 'receptionist', literally, had her head down on the "reception" counter while she scrolling through her cell phone. Another 'salesperson' was sitting in the corner in a chair also scrolling through his cell phone. NO EFFORT to get up out of the chair or to provide ANY level of service. Two other sales representatives were standing behind a counter, made DIRECT eye contact and neither made ANY effort to communicate or provide ANY level of service. Proceeded to actually sit inside a car IN the showroom NO effort was made by ANYONE in the dealership to provide service. Left the showroom and, on the way out, told the receptionist who had been lying on the counter, " congratulations, you just lost a sale." Her response was, " have a nice day!" Called the 'manager' of the dealership from the car to share our experience. He said that he had been in the back and was unaware of the 'performance' of his staff. Later we received a voice mail message from, what we assume, was the senior manager. His message was that he was sorry that we had received such poor service but that "everyone had been busy" at that time!!!! TRULY INSULTING RESPONSE !!! There were NO other customers in the entire showroom at the time we experienced the quality of service from this dealership. In all our years of purchasing cars at multiple dealerships, this was THE most unbelievable experience !!!! AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COSTS !!!!!!!! More
Great service We had to order the part we needed but once it arrived they called us and set up a convenient time for the service.
