My son and I went to this dealership (Duval Mazda at the Avenues) for him to purchase his first car. The initial visit and conversations were fine, but we weren't able to make a deal. We made additional efforts to provide additional funding/financing, contacted Todd and he stated that "he couldn't make it work". In this case Todd was rude making the comment "we did all of this work and you're going to pass on the deal over $900?". My son only had a certain amount of money/financing available and the car price was still out of reach, he understood and moved on. After several hours of "shopping" at other dealerships we were referred to Vince @ Duval Ford. They were able to acquire the same car from Duval Mazda and make the deal work (Duval Ford offered double the trade-in value that was offered by Duval Mazda, Mazda offered $500). In short, we had a budget and the staff at Duval Ford made it happen. I would recommend the staff at Duval Ford any day of the week. Todd at Duval Mazda also misrepresented the car and it's price as Certified Pre-Owned, apparently it wasn't (at least not for the price that was listed). More

We came to rival Mazda to look at purchasing a mazda3. When we started, the salesman Todd was very nice and helpful and answered all of our questions. The next day we were able to get financed with our bank, so we told Todd, and he immediately got very rude, raising his voice over the phone, and being very very unprofessional. This was by far the worst experience I have see had with a salesman of any kind. The kind of customer service Todd put forth was terrible. So we told him we were going to look around more that day since he obviously couldn't help us (or wasn't willing to). Several hours later we came across Duvall ford and explained our spending limit, told them about the masda3 we liked, and immediately they were able to work something out. They bought the Mazda from Todd's dealership and worked it out to sell under my limit to me. When they went to pick up the Mazda, Todd (not knowing its going to me) sends me an extremely rude text message saying "FYI the car is sold". Knowing I would be distraught hearing this. In the end, Vince and Gino from Duvall ford were the most helpful salesmen I have had the pleasure of dealing with, and i got the car I wanted with absolutely no help from Todd. Due to this experience I would not recommend duval Mazda, as this one salesman has completely ruined my car shopping experience. It's amazing that someone can be that desperate for a sale that they are driven to be rude to a customer that is willing to spend thousands of dollars on something. More

What i loved about my Visit to this Duval Mazda is the fact that i was interested in this impala they did not try to get me to buy another mazda or a car that i did not want i had plenty of car dealer visits and they always try to get you to buy some thing more out of your price range and they didnt try this . They greeted as soon as i walked in and asked me what i wanted and wasted no time beating around the bush. i had the greatest time at this place and there service has always been OUTSTANDING from service to car sales , Great staff, TODD HEIM AND JAMES DENFIELD were amazing to work with and im thankful for there time there reasonable price i got for my trade and the amazing deal i got on the impala. and you cant get this service anywhere, I recommend this deal ship to anyone if you looking for great service , Great pricing go to duval Mazda. I moved away from Jacksonville in April of 2012 and left my favorite service and sales department. Duval Mazda sold me my 2010 Mazda 3 and serviced it for the first ~2 years and 30k miles. It was a truly pleasurable experience from the time I stepped foot on the lot to buy my 3 to the multiple times I came in for service. Duval Mazda is the cream of the crop of Jacksonville Mazda dealerships. Sales was fantastic from start to finish. Service took on from the time I drove off the lot. Torbin the service manager runs a tight ship and makes your service experience a true gem. I will say service here does take some time (1.5 hours for an oil change+rotation) however you will know it is done correctly. This is bar none the best dealer service department I have been to. They do work correctly and use the proper fluids (made the mistake of taking my car to Tom Bush Mazda and they put 5W-30 oil in my car that recommends 5W-20.....even after I asked them that they use 5W-20). The service department here will take care of you. Duval Mazda will make sure your Mazda is in top operating condition. I have moved to Atlanta and miss Duval Mazda tremendously.
