I have had a generally good experience at Honda on Grand. But this was my second time working with David. I felt like the first time was fine, but this time, I came in with a specific ask “I’m going on a roa But this was my second time working with David. I felt like the first time was fine, but this time, I came in with a specific ask “I’m going on a road trip, I’d like for my car to be safe for this trip.” I came in agreeing to $1,000 worth of work to make that happen. That’s a lot for my family and I told him as much, but to make sure everything was safe, I agreed to it. He tried to sell me last time on a time belt for $1,400 and before realizing it was me again tried to sell me on it again. All before checking out the car. I got a call saying that he recommended another $1,000 in repairs. I said that would be tough for us, but if it was a safety thing then I’d need to get it done. He said he would “help me out” and got me a $75 discount after charging me for an oil change that I originally said I didn’t want because I had just been in there and my oil was at 60% but he said that they should go ahead and do the oil change because my oil was “already pretty dirty.” I felt like I was being pressured to get services I didn’t need. I even said I would come back after the trip and get my oil changed. But he did it anyway. Overall, I felt pressured and like I was manipulated into getting a lot more work on my van than I needed at the time and honestly way more than I should have spent on the van with our financial situation that I brought up multiple times. More
