My New Van Negotiation I was looking for a new Honda Odyssey SE 2016. I had already gotten quotes from other dealerships but wanted to get one from Honda of Concord before I was looking for a new Honda Odyssey SE 2016. I had already gotten quotes from other dealerships but wanted to get one from Honda of Concord before I made a decision. At 11:30 am on October 30th I had an appointment with Timbo Black. Immediately I was comforted by his easy demeanor and big smile. After sitting down I told him exactly what I wanted and what price I was willing to pay for the new van. Negotiations went quickly and I got the price I wanted and heated leather seats on top of it. When the finance manager came over to get me I thought my time with Timbo was over but he played with my three children the entire time I was filling out paperwork! After two false starts at other dealerships in the region, we were prepared for another less-than-satisfying experience. Thankfully, the opposite happened. We connected with our sales representative (James Watson) and appreciated his knowledge of the vehicle (CR-V Touring). When it came time to settle on a total cost, Mike Mahan took over and worked with us to arrive at a fair price. There was no back-and-forth, sit-and-wait, "let-me-talk-to-my-sales-manager" type of experience. We trusted Mike and he came through for us. Next, it was time to meet with the finance representative (Chris Ijames), and the good experience continued. He patiently explained our options and did not pressure us to choose one. We would also like to give a shout-out to Austin Miller, who spent over an hour with us explaining how all the bells and whistles worked when we picked up the car. Perhaps the only bump in the entire experience was the delivery of the vehicle (which had to be located and retrieved from another dealership). There were a couple of add-ons missing when we arrived to pick up the vehicle. The service manager recognized this immediately, and we agreed to wait a couple more days to take delivery until the dealership had time to install them. Everything turned out fine, but someone should have paid more attention to details AFTER the sale. We would recommend Honda of Concord and we are pleased with the professionalism and respect we received from all those we mentioned above. From a couple of senior citizens More
