Honda Odyssey Buying Experience I was looking to Trade-In my Old car and buy a new 2018 Honda Odyssey. I reached out to a few dealers in Charlotte area and Honda of Concord was the q I was looking to Trade-In my Old car and buy a new 2018 Honda Odyssey. I reached out to a few dealers in Charlotte area and Honda of Concord was the quickest one to reply me. They also arranged a pick up for my Trade -In as well. There I met the Sales Representative Tanisha Hampton. She was the one who had arranged the pick up for my Trade-In. She gave me a good walk through of the overall trade-in process and I was able to get a decent deal on what I was expecting as Trade-In down payment. After that she showed us a few Odyssey models that we were interested in. We finally selected 2018 EX-L model. After that she also helped us get the best quote on it and after some further negotiations we agreed on the final price. She locked in that rate and since we were doing the loan from our bank she took us to Chris IJames who does all the finance work. He explained me all the process and what I need to do to get the check from the bank and all the Trade-In formalities. It was a great experience so far. We got the keys to the car and drove off in our new Odyssey. 2 days later when I received the check from my bank, I went over there and handed the check to Chris. Since it was almost the close of business, the cash payment that was pending we agreed to do over card next day. Till than also my experience with Honda of Concord was very good. It was a nice experience working with Tanisha and Chris. Now starts the bad part. Next day I was expecting a call from Chris or Tanisha for the balance cash payment. However some random guy named Kevin called on the number on file that was in fact my Wife's number. He demanded to my wife to give me the phone and he was pretty rude about it. Since I was home at that point in time, my wife handed me the phone. He talked to me also in a rude fashion that I need to hand him the Credit Card details immediately as if I was going to disappear from this planet without paying the balance. I told him, I need sometime to get the card I want to use as currently I am going out to drop my wife and kid to the doctors clinic. After some time he again calls on my wife's phone, this time being even more rude to her. My wife tried explaining to him that she is at a doctor's clinic and I am not there and to call later. Instead of calling later, he very much rudely threatened her that ask your husband to pay the balance and that he needs the card today itself and he cannot wait any further. After that he kept calling on her phone every 15 minutes and did so almost 8-9 times in a span of 2 hours that my wife was at the clinic. My wife got highly upset with this kind of behavior. She told me about it on returning and I immediately contacted Tanisha to complain about the whole thing. She talked to me pleasantly and apologized for Kevin's behavior. I gave her my payment details and she was able to close this loop. I don't understand Kevin's behavior. He was behaving as if it was his money that was not being paid. In my opinion the behavior of people like Kevin puts a bad name on the overall dealership which otherwise is really good. I wanted to give 5 stars here, but because of the experience I had with Kevin today, I am not going to recommend this to anyone till the time people like him work there. He was just bothered about the money which is not even his. Zero experience in customer service. I would think twice before going back here and would also think twice before recommending my friends who also want to buy a Honda car. The 2 stars are for the very good experience I had with Tanisha and Chris. I would definitely recommend them if you end up there. More
