We traveled to this dealership due to the good reviews but there was a lot to be desired. We love about two hours away and wanted to give this dealership a chance. Once arrived and things began well. We h but there was a lot to be desired. We love about two hours away and wanted to give this dealership a chance. Once arrived and things began well. We had an appointment but came a little early. We were introduced to Kevin who is a nice gentleman. We were interested in a 2022 CR-V model. We didn’t realize that all the vehicles were on various levels, almost like a parking garage. Kevin took us to see the models but initially could not locate some of the base models we were looking to see. He did mention to us he was a new sales rep so we took that in to understanding. I believe out of some frustration he proceeded to offer us a deal on a 2023 CR-V but it just seemed to me like he didn’t want to work to find what we wanted and probably assumed we would fall for that “I can make you a deal” trick. He also needed the keys to unlock some vehicles and from what we gather the keys aren’t very organized. We had to go back downstairs and wait for him to receive clarification regarding where the other models of vehicles were. We proceeded to go upstairs to the top floor which is similar to an uncovered parking garage. I was not impressed with the placement of vehicles. It seems as if they stuck any and all cars that could fit and just crammed them together. Some vehicles were so close together we were not able to pass by. With that being the case some doors couldn’t even be opened. I wondered how exactly would a sales person be able to show us the interior of some of the doors can’t be opened wide enough due to other vehicles cramped next to them. My wife did end up seeing a 2023 model she liked. We wanted to see more of the interior but we had to wait for Kevin to get the keys so he could pull the vehicle out as we were only able to see the interior of the passenger side and trunk. This process took about close to a half an hour as he had to back out three vehicles just to get this 2023 out. I even wondered why is a brand new 2023 CR-V model on the top level and uncovered. We were able to finally take it down the ramp to test drive it. My wife did fall in love with the vehicle so we decided to purchase it. During this phase of paperwork we got to know Kevin more. He has a very nice personality despite getting off to a shaky start. I imagine none of this was his fault and he did his best to help see us through the process. I think much of the issue falls on Honda not properly training sales rep, at least at this dealership. We eventually met with the manager regarding some items and after we came to a comfortable decision we moved forward with the purchase. During this time they were prepping the vehicle (wash, tags, etc). We finally met with Chris Diaz, our financial manager. He was nice to work with. He didn’t try to upswell us so much as to informing of us of keeping certain items associated with the package of the vehicle. We were told when speaking with the manager he would remove a package we didn’t need and yet Chris tried to get us to keep it. I think much of this part was they didn’t want to go through the trouble of making the necessary adjustments. After all was finally said and done my wife was ready to greet her new car! This quickly soured as we noticed a huge blotch on the side of the rear passenger/trunk door panel. We wondered what this was. I mentioned this is supposed to have paint protection. We were told this could be buffed out but the buffing guys weren’t in on Sundays. We were given a bill/voucher to come back in the next 3 months to have any scratches/blotches etc buffed out. We were dejected because for one I wouldn’t expect a new Honda vehicle that was shipped to the dealership just 3 days prior to be sold in that condition. I mean after all this is Honda. No buffing attendants to detail the vehicle on a Sunday, well again this is supposed to be Honda. I’d expect there would be some detailing crew there. We asked if we could take this to any dealership and have them coordinate with them to have the vehicle buffed but we were told it has to only be at the Honda dealership we purchased from which meant we would have to drive from where we lived just for them to complete this task. That’s two hours we weren’t expecting to drive. After a bit of concern we walked around the vehicle before departing and saw the license plate frame was screwed in upside down. I asked could they fix this really fast and we were told the drill is upstairs. We definitely didn’t want to nitpick but you should want to satisfy the customer and after what we just experienced this was the least that could have been done. We returned home and noticed a what we thought to be a smudge on the windshield. We see that there was some crack embedded in the windshield. Nothing hit our vehicle while driving home but of course this is word against word. Once you drive a vehicle off the lot you assume responsibility. Overall we would not return to this dealership nor recommend it. We noticed quite a few things that could easily be improved on. For one maybe shielding the newer vehicles like the newer models in a covered area. The elements will ultimately get to any vehicle but I think some damage was done with it sitting on the roof and not to mention rain occurred during that week. No telling what debris could have touched upon it. Also the spacing of vehicles as if they’re sardines is not ideal. This was really distasteful. I wish they would consider where they have customers test drive their vehicles. We were taken down a really bad street and it was bumpy. So there was the potential of damaging the vehicle depending on how deep the potholes are. The staff all seemed ok however not the most professional but we can only judge our interactions with who we worked with. This was my first experience purchasing a Honda vehicle and this may be the last. More
