Was told warranty would cover repair (1k) for my civic related to a broken part. Then they lied and accused me of tampering with the car. I had to threaten legal action. Completely felt like they were try related to a broken part. Then they lied and accused me of tampering with the car. I had to threaten legal action. Completely felt like they were trying to manipulate my older parents and myself (a woman) by racking up charges at the end of my lease. Only after several hours of back and forth and my ultimately threatening legal action did they relent. Come here if you want to risk being lied to and discriminated against. I hate to rate a specific person poorly (he was nice enough—while accusing me of causing the problem(!); perhaps he was pushed to do this by management; I have friends with Honda Civic leases who’ve had similar experiences re AC repair so this may be a broader practice meant to cheat people). I had considered extending my lease or buying the car or getting another Honda vehicle. After this experience—which follows another awful experience with another Honda dealership for an engine issue—I want nothing to do with this dealership or with Honda altogether. More
