I po Wife came home Wednesday afternoon saying the car isn’t acting right I go to see that the power steering is dead and the battery light is lit up. I popped the hood to see that the belt was dangling from pulleys. Had the wife call you guys and you said you were able to look at it that day if we could get it in and you supplied the number of the towing service. After having it towed you guys responded to let us know that one of the bolts sheared off the alternator causing the belt to slide off and it would be cost of drilling out the bolt and replacing the belt. By mid morning Thursday you guys had the pilot all fixed. Was really happy with the quick repair time. More
Oil change / rotation fiasco I received an email from Jefferson City Honda that included and oil change and tire rotation special (both of which were needed) for 19.99. I decided I received an email from Jefferson City Honda that included and oil change and tire rotation special (both of which were needed) for 19.99. I decided to drop my Honda Pilot off for the special, and went to the dealership on September 27th at 7 am. I was greeted by service writer "Tyler", who already seen overwhelmed. When asked if I could have the vehicle ready by 11:30, he indicated that he would try, although his look was not too promising. When I discovered that their shuttle service ran until 5 p.m., I then told Tyler that he could have it for the day. I was called by Tyler at approximately 10:45, who suggested then I get a transmission flush for around $200. I declined the additional service at that time, although I did take his offer of a rear wiper blade insert replacement. He then told me that he could have the vehicle ready by 11:30, which surprised me. Tyler gave me the phone number for the shuttle driver, who informed me that he would not be able to come pick us up at that time, so I told him to keep our pick up time at 5 PM. At no time did Tyler indicate that any part of my requested service would not be done. At 5 p.m. the shuttle came to pick us up. I was held up at work, so my wife, who works in the adjacent building, agreed to pick up and pay for the car. When she got there, Tyler told her that the tire rotation was not done because "it didn't need it", although the price for the special was not adjusted to reflect this. Unhappy, I called the dealership on Monday, September 30th, to schedule a waiting appointment for the tire rotation the next morning. I received a voicemail message from Tyler later that day, wanting to know why I still wanted a tire rotation due to the fact that they felt it wasn't necessary. I called back and had to leave him a voicemail, explaining that the tire rotation was not something that should be unilaterally decided on by the dealer without asking the customer first, so I was going to have the rotation and that I didn't expect to be charged for it. I did show up the next morning at 7 a.m., and Tyler was there he simply asked me if my keys were in the vehicle to which high responded in the affirmative. The tire rotation took 45 minutes, at the end of which Tyler came to the waiting area and informed me that I was done. No inquiry, no apology, no explanation as to why they hadn't communicated with me during the original appointment day. I walked to the Pilot to find that the tires indeed had been rotated, but not in the preferred pattern for front wheel drive vehicles. At this point, I was thoroughly disgusted and decided not to pursue the matter further. I do not plan on patronizing this dealership in the future, due to the lack of communication and the seeming disregard for customers' wishes. More

To get to the price I was comfortable paying he had to go talk to the finance staff in a glass office off the sales floor. He came back a few times with different proposals for months' financing and monthly payments. It was a bit of a struggle to have the interest rates disclosed. On the final paperwork my credit score came back 65 points lower than it had shown on Experian hours before. I wanted to add the taxes in and the finance manager snapped at me about having to call the bank again. I asked her to run the numbers and she came out with a sheet that had $422 per month across the board. Prior to that it had shown highest $386. I said nevermind financing the tax. The salesman stepped out of the picture at that point. We went to the finance manager's personal office. I declined the gap coverage and optional warrantee and then asked to add the taxes. At this point the monthly charge went up $2. No phone call to the bank. Overall they got me on a 9.5% markup. So I would ask for your credit score, what interest rate is going into the estimated, and have an online amortization calculator ready. You will be pressured to purchase so that you miss one of these tactics and overpay. More
