Bad Experince I had the worse experience of purchasing any car in my life. I am 55 years old and have purchased in excess of 25 cars in my life probably half new h I had the worse experience of purchasing any car in my life. I am 55 years old and have purchased in excess of 25 cars in my life probably half new half used for a multiple different reasons in my life. I have a degree in computer science and one in nuclear engineering as well as serving as a nuclear plant supervise and working as a health physicist for the last 10yrs of my career. I presently own a small convenience store and am effectively retired. My only purpose of telling you this to let you know I do not make poor reports on something/individuals unless there is really something not right. First the good. I identified the car from an online listing on your website. I contacted and agreed on a price prior to ever visiting the dealership. Online ad was clear and described the car well, the communication with your online salesman was good. We arranged for an apt. time. The salesman we met with was courteous, clear in the terms, and handled us professionally. He answered all our questions when asked, and this part of the sales was enjoyable in that there was no pressure and pleasant in general. When we got see the car it was as advertised and we did like it. The bad. When we communicated with the salesman online and made the apt. she was very clear of 2 things would happen when we got there, (1) That the car would be available immediately for showing and, (2) she would be the one helping us. That was the reason for apt. time otherwise what was reason for setting the apt? First they were not ready for us when we got there, I waited 15 minutes while someone went and found a salesman that was free. While he did the job well what was point in setting an appointment, he knew nothing of the deal I had already made and had to be brought up to speed by me on price, apt, everything, very unprofessional. and irritating. Second the car was not even there, we had to wait additionally while some one went and found the car, they"thought it was next door at the KIA dealership. Really? I thought that was whole reason for the appointment. I could have dealt with all this and just gone on and given a good review but then it got really bad. Horrible. At the end of the sales presentation things started going from good, to irritating, to absolutely horrible. I was then passed off to your finance manager, we had already done a credit app, which I don't normally do because usually I finance through my own institution or just pay cash. This time I had decided to use an advertised 0% deal, I knew I would qualify because I keep an I eye my credit rating and knew it was over 800. We had already had a conversation about the salesmanship of another dealership that had done the exact the same thing that your dealership did. Sell a car with one key. That is ridiculous, this car was only 18 months old. It was actually insulting to listen to this story after I had just told you literally 5 minutes ago not to do this. While this I consider very unprofessional and incredibly tacky if that's the way you do things so be it. But what came next I consider beyond the pale, if I could return the car and buy from someone else I would, but I am a man of my word and I will make good on this deal because I am an honest man and I do not lie. Your sales manager sold me on a service contract that he said would replace the" lost"key, the contract cost $500 and he said the key would cost $350. I said no I did not want it. He then got up left the room brought in the "Sales Manager" who tried to convince me to buy the policy. I asked him what a key cost he told us that it cost $500. The fact that they flat out lied to me and used high pressure sales techniques on me is just infuriating! I said no less than 5 times I did not want the service contracts. After their lying repeatedly I did finally purchase the key, windshield, tire service policy's that I extremely regret. I did not purchase anything else and your Managers even tried to get me to by them if they dropped the price of which I insisted there was no value to me there. Here's the lie, I got another key yesterday made, cost ------ $112 ----- . From a Honda dealer. The policy did cover it but it was not $350, not $500. Here is my over all evaluation of the department personnel. Internet sales lady-name lost- B did well but was met by people who new nothing of the deal initially. Salesman Guevara, Miguel- A answered all question did a very good job no complaints. John Noel- F repeatedly misrepresented products, this man should be fired. Sales Manager- F colluded in lies to a customer, this man should be fired. did not get his name, this is the way he was introduced. Having worked in management several decades and with the public for the last 10 years this is the first time I have ever said publicly stated that individuals should be fired. While I have no standing other than say I will not recommend this dealership to anyone and I will share my experience with others. If this situation is corrected I would revise my comments. cc More
Service OK disappointed in honda CRV Everyone at the dealership fine they did all they could. I was there 6 hours getting it hopefully fixed very little heat from vents. With heated seats Everyone at the dealership fine they did all they could. I was there 6 hours getting it hopefully fixed very little heat from vents. With heated seats I really did not pay that much attention. With 50,000 mile 2014, my heater core was plugged up they struggled running solution through it but finally got good heat. In 45 years of owning cars this is the first new car I have had never had a car with plugged core. Of course out of warranty but wonder if core will plug up again or if corrosion will eat the block shortening the life of the motor, I would like the answer to that question. I called the corporate Honda service line mostly what I got was it was out of warranty and make sure I am very satisfied with my service experience. . Just disappointed with the quality of my CRV expected more than that from Honda. More
