We purchased a 1999 Acura TL from Mahwah Honda not even 5 months ago. With not even 5,000 miles added to the car during this time, the car's transmission failed. This was a shock to us since when we purchas months ago. With not even 5,000 miles added to the car during this time, the car's transmission failed. This was a shock to us since when we purchased the car, we were told that the transmission would last another 100,000 miles by the sales rep. When we called the dealer to complain, the pre-owned sales manager basically told us that they would have never made such claims and there is no warrantee on the car so there is nothing they can do for us. After I posted my review to online dealer rating sites, like this one, Mahwah Honda's service manager contacted us and was very apologetic about the experience we had with the sales department. He said he wished he would have known about our issue first and we could have avoided the bad experience we had with sales. He offered to pay for 50% of our repair, which we thought was fair, and had a check to us within one day. He even offered to have the check dropped off the same day to our home. While our initial contact with the pre-owned sales department was not a good experience, we are satisfied that in the end, Mahwah Honda did come through and do the right thing by splitting the cost of an expensive repair. Thanks Mahwah Honda! More

My wife has never owned a brand new car, and she had been researching the Honda Accord for quite some time. Before we decided on which dealership to go to, I asked around and the name Mahwah Honda was recom researching the Honda Accord for quite some time. Before we decided on which dealership to go to, I asked around and the name Mahwah Honda was recommended. I spoke on the phone with a salesman, Justin Peluso, who was very friendly. It was the 2013 Summer Clearance Event and he told us that the sooner we got there, the greater the selection would be left to choose from. We visited the showroom about a week later and asked for him. He was very low key and didn't pressure us into buying anything. We asked him a lot of questions, and he answered all of them politely and honestly. In about an hour, he and my wife had narrowed it down to exactly the car she wanted. Then he took us out for a test drive and my wife liked the car very much. The next step was to introduce us to the finance manager. His name was Jack Russell, and he was also very friendly and helpful. To give you an idea of what kind of service we got there, Jack came to work 3 1/2 hours early on the day we bought the car to work out the final arrangements (and his commute to work was nearly an hour away). To summarize, my wife got exactly the car she wanted. We got a very nice price and were very satisfied with the quality of the product and the overall sales experience with Mahwah Honda. We would recommend them highly. More

The staff was friendly, the certified cars were beautiful, and it's clear that my satisfaction was important to them. Most importantly, I was treated respectfully and fairly. That certainly was not my experience at the other 2 dealerships. I was originally considering leasing, so I had several phone calls with Debbie in the new car sales department. During one call, I mentioned that I'd really like to buy a certified pre-owned and she referred me to Harry Sha. With my permission, she called Harry for me! All I can say is I met Harry the next day and within an hour I was signing paperwork to buy my Pilot! Harry is a top notch salesperson; a total professional. He really listened to me and did his best to deliver exactly what I wanted. I have already referred him, Debbie, and the dealership to several people -- that alone should speak volumes. I will be using Mahwah service department and when I'm ready for a new car, I will most definitely use them again. A+++++++ More

Visited Mahwah Honda Pre-Owned department to replace our 2000 Ford Taurus Wagon. Harry Sha greeted us promptly and cordially and asked us to describe our needs. He gave us plenty of options from the extensive inventory of used cars on their lot (a quite impressive inventory to chose from all nicely cleaned and displayed). We eventually selected a Certified, pre-owned Accord which we test drove with Harry. After doing some additional shopping at other pre-owned lots, we returned to Mahwah Honda. Why did we return and purchase there? Quite simple, actually: 1. Quality of the vehicles we were presented, 2. Courtesy, knowledge and professionalism of the staff- Harry listened to us and gave us the options to meet our requirements, 3. The value we got for the money we spent- we bought a great car at a very fair price and received a great value for the trade-in. The entire deal was more than fair and the entire experience actually a pleasure! We need to also mention the assistant Manager of Mahwah Honda Pre-Owned sales, Dave Kurz, who we also met and found to be quite knowledgeable, professional, cordial and nice to deal with. Top marks for Mahwah Honda, their products, and most importantly, their staff. More
Let me start by saying Rob Fazio, Jr. is my hero. He went above & beyond to get me into a Honda Civic. At first I was skeptical when he told me he could get an approval for me without me coming in. I shopped on-line last Saturday, did the credit application & got an answer that Monday & four days later today (Friday) I went to pick my car up & woot woot, what a Hott Mama I am. I went to several dealerships in the Middletown/Goshen NY area & all denied me. What I really dislike is when you go to a Dealership with your hopes up, you fill out the credit app, test drive the car, sit there from 2-3 hrs for them to say the magic word (DECLINED!!!) Rob should go around the Globe & train other sales people how to do things over the telephone to avoid embarrassment & disappointments. Rob, thank you with the utmost respect for treating me like a human being & not like a (dollar sign). You helped me get out of a loan that was horrific & you got me into a safer more stylish car.
