Service Problems The service department is awful. Called in about a recall part, took two months and eight phone calls for them to finally get the part in. When that finally happened I was told that the next available appointment was for the following month and I would have to drop my car off for the whole day to do a 30 min procedure. We received a warm welcome from staff.With such a welcoming and customer friendly environment we met our sales Representative Mr.David Lartey. He was very a very patient,professional person who knew his job very well. We began viewing different models of honda. He took us test driving and showed us different features for different models so we could compare and make a choice. Upon our descision to settle for the honda accord sport David sat down with us to go over our finances again he gave us a detailed explanation breaking down everything about the pricing where he introduced us to Mr Tinu Thomas who also went over everything with us including the value of our trade and with this we were pleased. Another wonderful car purchasing experience! This was the second time I have gotten a car from Honda of New Rochelle, David Lartey being my car salesman. No matter where else I have shopped, this This was the second time I have gotten a car from Honda of New Rochelle, David Lartey being my car salesman. No matter where else I have shopped, this dealership consistently stands out for the respect and concern for the individual customer without pressuring them in any way. Much of this is due to having excellent dealers like David on staff. David goes above and beyond to ensure that his customer's needs are met, making the customer priority over pushing any sale. I returned to Honda of New Rochelle at the end of my lease in order to discuss my potential outcomes. David sat down and explained how I could go about purchasing my car at the end of lease, lease a new civic, or purchase a new civic. He presented all of the options clearly and without gimmicks, giving me the chance to truly think for myself what would be a good option. It was only at hearing me explain my personal habits and use of my car that David considered showing me the Honda HRV, and after already spending over 2 hours sitting any talking with me, we were on the road test driving this car. Although I really loved the Honda HRV, David forewarned me that there was a wait to get this car. His honesty is truly what makes working with David such a pleasure. After ensuring that I know all of the details about the car, I went on my way home with the plan of putting down a deposit for a car I was not expecting for at least a month or so. The following day I received a phone call from David on his day off! It turns out that there was an HRV LX that was on the lot at that very moment up for sale. When another couple who had ordered the car decided against it that afternoon, a fellow salesman at the dealership thought of David and I and held onto the keys until we arrived. With one glance I knew this car was perfect for me. Instead of rushing me however, David once again took the time to go over the specifications of this car to ensure that it was truly what I was looking for and would be happy with. There was never a single moment while working with David that I felt rushed, pressured, or targeted. David takes all factors of a buyer with deep consideration. For example, I would never make a purchase without consulting my mom, and David recognizing this offered to meet with my mom to show her the car even when I was not available as well. David consistently goes above and beyond what he is expected and consistently treats his customers with integrity and respect rare among car salesmen.
