More expensive than the local shops I’ve worked with, but it’s nice to have everything in one place. I’m not too thrilled with the credit card charge – I think that should be a cost of doing business – but I knew about it from prior visits, and Victor Martinez also checked to make sure I was aware. He was very helpful, and actually had looked into the tires for me before when I was there for an oil change. I ended up buying four new tires. More

Against my better judgment I got towed to Honda of Oakland because it was the closest to where I was stranded. I had had a terrible experience few years back so I knew better. And sure enough nothing has changed. I literally told them that I needed my flat tire repaired ONLY because I had a baby with me. I specifically said I don't need anything else checked or fixed. 1.5 hours later, I see my car with the hood and trunk open, but they still couldn't tell me if the tire is repairable because they hadn't gotten into that yet. I asked what was going on, and they tell me they're checking for fluids and other things that might need attention, but the very thing I went to them for? Nothing. Another 1.5 hrs later, I'm told the tire needs replacing (surprise, surprise) and I paid almost $300 for one new tire. It's possible that the tire really was beyond repair, but I'm very doubtful now. Because they're always looking to either upsell you things you don't need or that there's something immenent that must be fixed. Fixing my flat tire would only cost $45, but a new one cost $300. and the fact that I couldn't trust they acted in my best interest is the point. Very questionable characters to say the least. More
