Buying a car, any car, from virtually any dealer is a HASSLE. My biggest beef - the length of time that it takes to complete the deal. Once the purchase vehicle has been decided upon it should NOT take 3 HASSLE. My biggest beef - the length of time that it takes to complete the deal. Once the purchase vehicle has been decided upon it should NOT take 3-5 add'l hours to consummate the squeal, uh, i mean deal.I have a LIFE! Uggh! I have bought 2 homes in my lifetime - and I'm hoping to purchase more; neither of my home buys required as much of my VALUABLE time as purchasing a car. Ok, so I'm a peon, and I don't mean that in police code parlance (5150) - 'crazy person on the loose'. But, surely the industry can figure out a better way... When former astronaut Frank Borman was CEO of Eastern Airlines 1975 - 86 one of his favorite dictums to his employees was:"keeping a Customer on hold is No Way to hold a customer". (ok, so they were absorbed by a larger airline anyway, but you get the point). The folk at Northwest treated me fine. NO PROBLEM WITH THEM AT ALL! Like I said, itz the time factor that drives me batty. All in all the experience was a GOOD ONE. I have purchased at least 10+ vehicles in my lifetime and this experience was one of the better encounters. We just need to figure out a BETTER WAY to "do the deal" and shorten the amount of time that the Customer has to spend in the dealership. Lastly, when Big Blue, IBM, thought that they had the market cornered, an upshot,mop-haired, college dropout and his best friend decided to take 'em on (circa 1979). Everyone thought they were insane. That insanity, that belief that the electronic-digital world as we knew it then, could be reshaped into something better produced a revolution in technology that reverberates around the globe, still, to this day. Those inane insanes. William H. Gates, Jr. and Richard Allen saw things differently; they changed and entire industry and then changed the world. Hope I haven't kept you too long. Thank you. More
I visited four Honda dealers in search of the vehicle I wanted. It all started with a telephone call to know if the car I was searching was available. It was and I went to see it, then had my son return with me another day to confirm my possible purchase. Derek Gould was outstanding, answering all my questions and with honesty. (I knew some of the answers already). Until now, used car salesman and lawyers have been among my least favorite people, but Derek has changed my mind, at least for this Honda dealership. I would recommend him to my best friend and my family for fair deals and integrity. They do what they say they will do and with smiles. In addition, all other staff I encountered were as pleasant and co-operative as Derek. Great job guys! More

What a pleaure! I will NEVER deal with another car dealer! My journey ended at Northwest, I will never have to go anywhere else! Lets just say I am still amazed that I have my new/ used 2010 Honda CRV sitting right outside my condo. It has been 16 years since I last bought a car.....yes you read that right....16 years ago I bought my 2010 Honda CRV sitting right outside my condo. It has been 16 years since I last bought a car.....yes you read that right....16 years ago I bought my brand new CRV which was a 1997. It was the first CRV model that was out. Needless to say I made the right purchase! 16 years later, I was reluctently searching for another CRV. With both of my daughters getting married next year, knowing I would have a carpayment, was not very appealing. I have been searching on the web for weeks now, trying to find that perfect vehicle, which I knew had to be a Honda, and a CRV, I was not attracted to the 2012's or 2013's. I was searching for an opal sage color, only to be disappointed to find that there were not many available with a dark color interior, the year I wanted or the price I wanted. So I was back to square one, I decided on my day off while running errands to stop in, by myself, to The Northwest Honda pre-owned car lot. I drove in....parked my car, and went browsing, looking for the Silver CRV I saw on-line. After maybe 10 mins, Derek Gould came out, asking if I needed some assistance. I explained what I was looking for and the disappointment I felt searching for a new vehicle. I told him my story, having my CRV for 16 years, wanting a newer car for that peace of mind factor, but having a huge car payment was not in my budget. As we were walking and talking, I passed a 2010 Gray polished metal metallic Honda CRV. For what ever reason it caught my eye, Derek opened the door, and just mentioned it had a navigation system. I had given up on getting a fully loaded EX-L because I wanted to keep the cost down. With in a matter of 20 mins, Derek, came back with the price...which I was pleasantly shocked by, and he took my key to evaluate my 16 year old CRV for trade in, came back with an amazing offer. I told him I would return with my husband in a few hours. We returned, and Derek already had another Honda CRV from the other lot waiting for us. We compared the Silver to the Gray.... test drove the Gray.... LOVED IT!!!! I am thinking ok that was the easy part, now for the grueling part....numbers and paperwork. He ran the numbers in a matter of 15min came back and once again we were pleasantly shocked. Now I am expecting from my experience 16 years ago, to spend the rest of the evening at the dealers, filling out paperwork, going back and forwards, and having to come back tomorrow to finalize everything. Boy was I wrong! Derek started on the paperwork right away, and 2 1/2 hours later we were driving my new/used car off the lot and back to my condo. The reason it took that long was, their printer was down, and we had to go across the street to finish up the paperwork. I am still in shock. Derek made this experience a very pleasant one! I left feeling like a winner, just like the Orioles!!!!! Thank you Derek and Northwest Honda. :) More

This is the 3rd car I have bought from NorthWest Honda and have always dealt with Mark. Every experience including this last experience two days ago was very nice. NEver felt pressured. MArk looks out for and have always dealt with Mark. Every experience including this last experience two days ago was very nice. NEver felt pressured. MArk looks out for your best interest. He doesn't try to put you in a car you can't afford. I am very satified. Lane the finance manager is a pleasure to deal with as well. I had the deal done and two days later Lane called me with a better interest rate after I had already bought the car. There was no imtimidation factor. Juat a great experience. Both MArk and Lane care about their customers. More
