I searched high and low to find a used Toyota Tacoma for my son. My search lasted over six months until I came across a 2001 Tacoma at Northwest Honda in Owings Mills Maryland. Billy was extremely friendly and eager to help me even if it meant staying after hours to make sure I was satisfied with every detail of the purchase including making sure the car was clean and full of gas before I left the lot. Contrast that with another dealer who has yet to follow up on their quote and it's evident who is serious about selling cars. The test drive and purchasing process was very straightforward, transparent, and easy. Mike was very knowledgeable on the vehicle and did a good job answering all of my questions about the vehicle (aced my "test" questions that I already knew the answers to). He acknowledged and handled well any cons from vehicle reviews that I mentioned. I received fair trade-in value for my old car (same as what CarMax had appraised and offered). Bert did not try to push any unnecessary aftermarket packages on me- he explained well what all of them were and admitted which ones would probably be unnecessary for my situation and made a reasonable case for the one and coverage level that I chose to go with. I had financing set up before going in, but they were able to get us an even lower interest rate. I really can't say enough about everyone that we dealt with here, particularly Derek, Matt and John. They were honest, upfront, moved quickly, didn't try to sneak any extra fees or dealer add-ons to the price. I found out about Northwest Honda last year when the weather was horrible and my tires were low on air, I couldn't find a gas station with a working air station, saw the Honda dealership and took my chances - they were so accommadating and helped me without charge and I hadn't even bought the 03 Civic that I was driving at that time there! So when we wanted to at least see the CRV that was the only stop I had in mind. The environment was relaxed, we didn't feel pressured and weren't forced to make any on the spot decisions. Darby, Deryl, Leen & the gentleman who was in charge of teaching us about the features were excellent and as soon as we are ready to replace our other car we told Darby and everyone else they would be our first call, and we meant it.
