I never felt like I was being pressured into a sale which is often the norm of a car buying experience. He even stayed extra late (way after hours) with us to get a deal I was comfortable with. Brittany was the lady who made it all official she stayed super late with us and I am so grateful that they did. If you need to purchase a car I definitely recommend those two! More

I hated to see it go, I purchased it brand new, put 158K miles on it and it still drove like the day I bought it. After reviewing dealership deals online, I found the best prices at Wilde Honda, in Sarasota. I was interested in a couple pre-owned cars around the $10-12,000.00 range and decided to drive down to take a look at them. I met Michael outside as he just happened to be walking by and he asked if he could help. I told him what I was interested in and we looked a both vehicles. I was impressed with him because even though I was only looking to spend 10-12 thousand dollars, he treated me like I was spending $50,000.00. His honest, no pressure approach was a welcomed change from my experience at past dealerships. I was not interested in the two vehicles I looked at and ended up purchasing a 2015 Certified Civic with only 15,000.00 miles at a great price (my idea, not Micheals). If your looking for a great honda dealership, try Wilde honda, if you're looking for a helpful, no pressure salesperson who will help you in any way you need, ask for Michael. More

Love the 2017 Auto pilot From my reading I was interested in acquiring a 2017 Honda CRV. I mention that to a friend who contacted his friend and neighbor Michael Malmsbury wh From my reading I was interested in acquiring a 2017 Honda CRV. I mention that to a friend who contacted his friend and neighbor Michael Malmsbury who happened to be the Internet Sales Manager for Wilde Honda. That car was in wild demand at that time but still he managed to drive one home one evening and gave me a test ride/drive. I promptly ordered one from him the next day but did I say that car was in high demand? To cut a long story short, he was able to obtain the exact car for me through a dealer trade. I am a bit of a car guy and comfortable with technology. Michael is not only a service oriented sales person, he has very deep knowledge and passion for the cars he sells. I believe he has more technical knowledge on Honda vehicles than a typical Service Advisor. If you want a knowledgeable sales advisor, go see Michael. He knows the market too. Last Spring we drove the CRV to Canada and back again in September to Florida. If you are interested in my highway experience with the auto pilot, read on. Otherwise, just contact Michael. My experience with the Honda auto pilot was in one word, wonderful. Auto pilot differs from Self-Drive in that in self-drive, the car will navigate itself in taking you from point A to point B. In auto pilot, the “driver” has to do the navigating even if that only means following the directions from the GPS. In my case, the auto pilot is made up of only two components. The ACC or “Adaptive Cruise Control” and LKAS or “Lane Keeping ASsist”. The ACC controls the accelerator and the brakes. It uses a radar to see what’s in front in the lane and manages the speed and safe following distance from the car in front. It will actually bring the car to a full stop when necessary. I have tested that many times and it works. The LKAS manages the steering wheel and the car stays in the center of the lane even when it twists and turns. I suspect it is mainly for legal reason, the driver interface display flashed “STEERING REQUIRED” from time to time. I comfort the computer by occasionally wiggling the steering wheel a little, especially when the message come on. That is to let LKAS know that I am still there and awake. If you want to nap or play cards, you’ll need full Self-Drive. In driving the car to Canada (and back) I found it to be a very low demand task. As a “driver”, my main responsibility was just to monitor the vehicle’s progress. I was basically a passenger with enough things to fiddle with to keep me interested. One thing I enjoyed was to observe how the car reacted to another car cutting in front of it on the highway; which happened a few times on I-95 and it acquitted itself very nicely. What I valued most with the auto pilot is the idea that if there is a temporary lapse of attention on the driver’s part, like looking at a sign or a bill board, the car will take care of itself and you. That is a comforting thought. This brings to mind another very useful feature of the car; the blind spot detectors on both sides of the car. When LKAS is on, one has to indicate the intention to change lanes by first using the turn indicator; otherwise the car will fight you in that maneuver. It does so by shaking the steering wheel and resisting the turn with some force. If you persist, you’ll win but if you simply use the turn indicator, a smooth lane change would take place. This actually helped me in developing a better driving habit. If there is a vehicle lurking the blind spot, in addition to the warning light in the side mirror, a beeping warning will also be sounded to alert you to stay in your lane until the adjacent lane is clear. Someone else came in to look at the car before I got there and they were going to buy it. Micheal felt very bad and he showed me cars that would fit my budget and price range. I liked the cars, but was really in love with the car I came in for. He knew that and was trying to figure out others options for me. He then found out that the car I came in for was available. He came out and told me, with made me very happy. He really is a great and professional salesman.
