Sold defective new 2024 Crv Hybrid on last Wednesday - spotting on right side of vehicle, including paint, rear light fixture and side trim. Upon receipt of vehicle, I was told it had been inspected by th spotting on right side of vehicle, including paint, rear light fixture and side trim. Upon receipt of vehicle, I was told it had been inspected by the dealer’s detail department which must have seen the spotting. I did not notice the defects until I returned home. I brought the vehicle to the dealer the next day. The dealer confirmed the defects and advised that the warranty would cover. I was then asked to return the vehicle, which I did last Friday, and was told this condition was seen on at least one other vehicle. The service dept then said the vehicle would have to be sent to a body shop for an estimate. The service department obtained an estimate on Tuesday and said it was being sent to Honda for its consideration. To date there is no resolution - I feel scammed. Apparently dealer has to discuss with Honda. I was told by service, the situation could take weeks to resolve. This is unacceptable. I paid cash for a new vehicle that I assumed was in perfect condition and was delivered a defective vehicle. Communication with the Dealer has been poor. Everyone is vague and noncommittal, leading to my mistrust. It is now late Wednesday- 8/23/23 and I haven’t heard from the dealer or Honda. The vehicle is basically being held hostage by Honda of Toms River and the Honda Corporation. I am considering my options. Called Robert Helle, Sales Director, this morning. I was advised that he was busy biut would return my call . I never received a return call. I called again at 3:50pm. I was told he left for the day. I then left a message with Service since no one picked up. Despite the dealership’s response herein, I have not been contacted- nothing is resolved. More
