Truly disgusted with Honda of Toms River. I would NEVER - refer them or shop there again. Worst car buying experience of my life. Bought a used vehicle from Doug L (salesman) who did nothing I would NEVER - refer them or shop there again. Worst car buying experience of my life. Bought a used vehicle from Doug L (salesman) who did nothing for his customers. The entire 5 hour process turned out to be lies after lies from him, service management and from front end staff. First after purchasing the car I was told they were detailing it and bringing it back up. Come to find out the said the vehicle couldn’t be sold that day because it didn’t go thru the inspection yet why wouldn’t you have told me that from the start; not 5 hours later. Was a used vehicle so the warranty was crazy expensive and 6 miles after leaving with the car 4 days later the check engine light came on. I called immediately and Alec informed me they would fix it (Evap code). Said bring the car in and they would give me a loaner and all. Then he said they would call me back with when to bring it In. 6 days later I call and am told that they aren’t fixing it and Alec has no approval so they don’t know why he said that. So now I have a used car from a xxxx dealership that won’t even fix an issue after 6 miles which means 100% they turned the light off and offered a crazy warranty price well knowing that there was an issue. I have my lawyer looking into this. I wasn’t given a signed contract, they missed placed my deposit and asked me to pay more until I corrected them, they won’t fix a small issue and doug was the worst salesman I have ever dealt with. He was a straight up liar and I truthfully don’t know how a so called reputable dealership would have him working there. He called me many times after the sale was complete to ask for more documentation that he forgot to get. Was a total mess so I’m doing what I can on my end with my lawyer to fix this. More
