I’ve been a dedicated customer since 2009. I became a Honda devotee. The service department (Rita and Mike in particular) have always been great to deal with. While I like my salesman (Adrian) the manager and finance guys are as conniving as any stereotypical finance team. I’d never leased before but considering how low the payment was I couldn’t say no. I leased a Ridgeline. As it turned out, after a few months it was just too small for my family. I looked up what I thought was my payoff and went to a Ford dealer to trade it in on a used F150. The day before we were to do the paperwork the sales girl calls to tell me that Cal Automotive charges a $6500 penalty for trading at a third party. What a dirty tactic. So I’m locked in to being a Honda of Toms River customer. Like it or not. I’m hopeful that Adrian can find a truck that meets my needs and I can trade out. If that doesn’t work I’m buying out the Ridgeline (if Cal automotive doesn’t take me over the coals to do so). Then I will never ever return or speak highly of Honda of Toms River again. Because I’ve always applauded their service department. More

What can I say but this dealership was amazing I’ve been to many dealerships before but this one was was outstanding! They were so amazing that I not only did I purchase a brand new vehicle for myself I al to many dealerships before but this one was was outstanding! Reneged on offer agreed to on phone. The manager admitted he made the mistake but refused to honor the deal. Worst car buying experience which turned me off of Honda all together.
