Easy car buying experience....no, really! In many ways my car buying experience with Honda of Toms River was exactly the opposite of what I have come to expect and sadly is the industry norm. In many ways my car buying experience with Honda of Toms River was exactly the opposite of what I have come to expect and sadly is the industry norm. It started with Alexa on the phone (after submitting my interest on Edmunds.com). She was cooperative and willing to work with me by providing exactly what I was looking for to facilitate my buying decision...not a sales pitch script that is common at the initial phase of negotiations. I asked for the pertinent "numbers" that together produce the "out the door" price and thus was able to compare apples to apples offers without the "vulcan mind confusion" so many dealers employ. My only regret was that I did not meet her later at the dealer to thank her. Next up was Doug Lazaro, my salesman. I kept looking for the up-sell but was pleasantly surprized as he genuinely seemed concerned with my Mom's questions. He may have been the most courteous person (forget salesman!) that I have ever met however not at the expense of product knowlege and customer service. He made sure we bought what we needed in the color we wanted (drove us thru the parking lot because "you know the colors in the brochure can be misleading") and insisted that my Mom take it for an extended test drive. To sum it up he was the perfect "un-salesman"....a complement in this industry and something for others to emulate. Next up was the finance guy...Derek Massio. He was a piece of work, in the nicest way. Generally the finance guy is the dealerships last effort to extract some $$$ from the buyer. In many ways this is the hardest job and some may not consider themselves salesmen...BUT they are. He tried. He pushed. He cajoled. We said No. I still ended up liking him which is a testament to his character and attitude. I fully intend to do business with this dealership again and certaintly would not hesitate recommending anybody doing the same. Great job guys! More

Best car buying experience ever!!! I needed to purchase a car for my mom so I called the dealership where my daughter had purchased her Honda Civic in 2011. She had a great experience so we chose this location. My mom and I stopped in to the dealership around 5:30pm and the staff was very helpful and accommodating to our needs. Lou met us and spoke to us about our needs and wants and showed us some of the vehicles in the showroom. Lou was very patient and kind and listened to our situation and what we needed. I originally wanted the CRV but still needed to look at some other cars before making a final decision. We sat in all the cars and discussed the features that each car possessed and what could work for us. My dad is in a nursing home now and I wanted my mom to have a comfortable car that may be her last car purchase. She already owned a 2005 CRV that my dad had chosen when they lived in Florida. She was comfortable with this vehicle. Lou took the time to listen to us and the time really flew by. I know that he was supposed to leave early in our meeting but he never complained , in fact, I didn't realize it until later remembering his hours. He spent the entire time with us , going back and forth getting us another vehicle to look at , sit it, "play" with.....these cars are fun....Anyway I really wanted to check out the Odessy van and he went to the farthest lot so I could check it out. I really appreciated Lou's professionalism, kindness and patience!!!! In addition, I would like to add that the entire staff was attentive and respectful as well. There was Frank and Derek who both helped us as well. I just cannot say enough about how wonderful everyone is at this dealership. We are truly enjoying our new CRV with all the bells and whistles!! My dad would love this car!! More

Not only is the car in perfect condition with low milea I purchased a Certified Pre-owned 2010 Honda Civic today and am very happy with my experience. Not only is the car in perfect condition with low mileage, the list price was very reasonable, and I checked on KBB.com before going to the dealership to make sure. I am confident I got a good car for a good price. Also the entire staff was very friendly and eager to make me comfortable, even the staff members who were just walking by. My sales specialist, Doug Lazaro, was great. He was very nice and knowledgeable about the vehicle and made certain he explained all the car's features and buttons during our test drive. It was raining buckets and he made sure he had enough umbrellas for everybody to stay dry. He also bought my little boys a bag of pretzels and gave them coloring books to help keep them occupied and happy during my transaction. He was very easy to work with and I found him to be very courteous and professional. My finance manager, Derek Massio, was also wonderful to work with. When I returned later in the day to pick up my vehicle, I had more questions about my sales contract. He was happy to sit down with me a second time and answer all my questions and adjust any terms I was worried about. It was clear my happiness with my purchase was his top priority. Overall this was the most comfortable and confident buying experience I have ever had. More

We were then introduced to Mr. Louis Cerrato, a salesman. He also introduced a gentleman he was training, Mr. Steve Glancy. The 2 men were the most friendliest men you could ever want to spend your whole afternoon with! They couldn't believe my Maltese was sitting on my lap the whole day so wonderful! Louis was teaching Steve step by step what to do in the selling process of a vehicle. He was fantastic, as well as Steve. Louis and Steve were the utmost professionals and at the same time we felt like we knew them forever! I am giving Louis all 5's because he was the best! I have been in many dealerships and nothing compared to this dealership and Louis!
