HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - Buyers BEWARE !! BUYERS BEWARE.....GO ELSEWHERE for BETTER SERVICE. I stopped by Honda of Toms River. I must say that today was the most HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I have e BUYERS BEWARE.....GO ELSEWHERE for BETTER SERVICE. I stopped by Honda of Toms River. I must say that today was the most HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I have ever had at a car dealership! Our sales person, Tom Galione, repeatedly did not listen to why we had come to your Honda dealership. We wanted to see if Honda would be able to offer a similar/comparable package deal - similar to the one that we had received from Nissan. Right from the beginning we dealt with a lot of paperwork, and when questioned why so much paperwork since we were only making an inquiry about the 2015 Honda FIT purchase information Tom G. replied we have to prove you are really who you are??? Really??? - Tom G. already had photo copies of our drivers licenses and our vehicle registration! Not only that, but several times we were questioned by Tom asking us where we were getting our Honda Fit information from. All of our information came from the Honda.com website! At one point I had to show our sales person the information that I found on the honda.com website!!! (also found information on your website hondaoftomsriver.com). Tom G. stated he was going to take my phone to show the manager the information on the 2015 Honda Fit??? Craziness !!! Initially, I felt I should have switched car sales persons early on due Tom's lack of information on the 2015 Honda Fit, but figured I would let him continue since he stated he was "new" to the dealership. Again, sad to say - horrible experience - and if I had not went through this personally, I would never imagine a reputable dealership could be so unprofessional. After trying over and over again to get our sales person to actually LISTEN to why we visited the dealership, we then received a very low trade-in offer for our vehicle .Toms River Honda offered $500 for our 2004 vehicle - another dealership offered us $3200 for our trade-in). That was the breaking straw! Communication on the actual purchase inquiry process was very uninformative. Tom G was very unprofessional - muttering profanity under his breath when his computer would not cooperate ( this could have actually have been Tom's inexperience not his computer). Please be informed that today could have went smoothly had Tom G. actually listened to us - discussed the 2015 Fit models LX and EX - elaborated on what each vehicle style had to offer, and presented the purchase costs involved, finally showing us the vehicle(s). None of this EVER transpired. Very unprofessional, very sloppy sales presentation. Management was not helpful either (R.Rooney). Needless to say, we left the facility and went elsewhere. I feel Toms River Honda lost an opportunity to obtain a sale. We did purchase a 2015 vehicle today, however it was not a Honda. BUYERS BEWARE.....GO ELSEWHERE for BETTER SALES /SERVICE. More
Service Dept.Poor follow up Have had my Civic serviced at this location for a few years and experienced was very good. Recently received a recall on the paint from Honda Corp. I Have had my Civic serviced at this location for a few years and experienced was very good. Recently received a recall on the paint from Honda Corp. I was pleased to learn that Honda was taking responsibility for this issue, as my car looks great with the exception of the paint on the roof. It is faded and looks bad. Friends make comments about it, and I share my experience. Long story short, I made several visits to this service department about this and never received any follow up. I believe this was done purposely so the extended warranty time for this issue would expire. I guess i will have to have this corrected on my dime. Not returning to Honda of Toms River... too bad. Once was a happy customer. More

Great experience with Lou Cerrato From the moment we walked in on 6/26 we knew we were in the right place. Lou greeted us at the door and asked us to sit with him. We advised him that we lease a Honda Accord with a maturity date of 9/6/14 and we were looking for a new car to lease. We told him that we had retired and moved to Toms River from New York about two years ago. We advised him we had a bad experience with the service department at this dealership with our second Honda but felt we should give this dealership a second chance, Lou listened and went to his manager who had the service manager come out and speak to us. My wife and I were both very much involved in customer service when we worked. Lou was the best. The service manager was great as was your F& I manager Steve. We are impressed. We live in a retirement community called Holiday Heights. I run the Neighborhood watch and I am a volunteer EMT. I intend to tell everyone I meet about Lou Cerrato and your dealership. Thank you.
