Service with ToyotaCare 5 year/ 60000 Mile Plan Took for 55000 mile service 5 days after sign came. Tech told me that service only requires tire rotations and no oil change as they use synthetic oil Took for 55000 mile service 5 days after sign came. Tech told me that service only requires tire rotations and no oil change as they use synthetic oil and therefore, oil change requires at 10000 mile. Then I was told by him that under plan I have to bring car for service at 55000 mile. Then he told me that my car is due for fuel system flush and I have to pay $250 for it as E tended ToyotaCare doesn’t include fuel flush and fuel and air filter. I bought service plan with an understanding that all preventive maintenance per manual is included and if I don’t need oil change at 5000 mile and nothing but oil change is included, then what is the purpose of this high priced service plan. Also, when all car manufacturers has moved to viscosity based oil change, then why Toyota still insist on mileage based oil change. Even regular oil with highway driving does not require oil change till 7500 mile and city drive at 6000 mile, then why Toyota requires at 5000 mile. More

Service department I don’t usually use the service department for routine maintenance but since I was concerned about my brakes I did today. Bottom line is that it was $100 more than I was quoted and the lady went to lunch that was working with me and her fellow worker forgot I was there so I was left waiting for an hour after my car was ready. Will not use service department again. More
