Fair deal, mediocre service Leased my car last Friday. They didn’t have the exact one I wanted so they sourced from a local dealer. Was supposed to pickup the car tues. or wed. t Leased my car last Friday. They didn’t have the exact one I wanted so they sourced from a local dealer. Was supposed to pickup the car tues. or wed. the following week. I called to check in Tuesday at 4pm since I hadn’t heard anything and wasn’t contacted back until Wednesday afternoon. Was told they were picking the car up right now from the other dealership and that I’d be notified as soon as it arrived. 2 hours later I still hadn’t heard back so I called the dealership and made arrangements to pick up the car on Thursday. It was a holiday weekend, so I was very understanding. I just would have appreciated better communication about when my vehicle would be ready. I picked up my Jeep Cherokee last night. I was disappointed there were no all-weather mats, I thought I remembered the salesman saying there were, so I was bummed.. but maybe I misheard him.. there was already dirt all over the floor from the car being driven from the other dealership. So before I ever stepped foot in my new vehicle, the carpets were dirty. Very disappointing. They hadn’t even put protective paper on floors except for the drivers side which was already a mess. When I got home from the dealership I inspected the car once again and noticed a big white advertisement sticker on the back. “Hudson valley Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram” in big white letters. I suppose they thought I would provide free advertising for 3 years. This was ridiculous, as I spent thousands of extra dollars to have everything on the car black, and they stick a big white sticker on it. Unfortunately I’ll be heading back to the dealership today to have it removed, since I can’t do it myself without scratching the paint. There was only 1/3 tank of gas in the car when I left the dealership. I’ve never picked up a new car without a full tank. Overall I am happy with the deal I got on the car. But the customer service was lacking. Upon discussing this with some coworkers today, I was informed that this dealership has a shady reputation. I like my car, but would not lease or buy from this dealership again. In hindsight I wish I just sourced the car myself and went direct through another dealership. it seems that the moment you ring the gong, the costumer service experience is over. UPDATE: spoke to Bill the owner after this was posted and he resolved the issue to my satisfaction. He was accomadating and responsive to my frustrations and that goes a really long way with me.
