Entered on a Thursday evening-promptly introduced to Eric and despite the dark and cold (it was about 6:30PM) we were able to locate a car we thought we might like. Initially not thinking we could get back before the following week, the next morning we decided to test drive the car. Eric was more than accommodating, pulling the car up so we could really see the color and interior well. The test drive was on another car to minimize mileage buildup (since we chose the car, we appreciate this protective action and you will too). The price was on target with our insurance companies buying program-no hassles, pressure, etc. Mindy was superb in her assistance with the finacing part. Hudson Valley VW has won us over big time. We were lucky to be assigned to Eric, I can see why he has so many awards on his wall (Mindy too). I have a good friend who also purchased from Eric and raved about him, but the proof is when you experience it yourself. If a VW is in your future, do not hesitate to give this dealership a chance. We are glad that "The third time was a charm"!!! Will need to edit this once we experience their service. I already told Eric any issues and I would be standing at his desk-lol :) More

The service personnel told my wife that we needed to add fluid to our car or else it would not drive away from the dealer and would damage the engine. The interesting thing about this is that the reservoir was not empty and the indicator in the dash was not even illuminated. It was a quick and easy way to scalp $60.00 more dollers from us. Prior to bringing the car in for service, simply for an oil change I read the owners manual which showed how to add the fluid when low, and that there is an indicator light. I'd had already purchased the fluid and planned on putting it in my self following the manual. We are disgusted with this dealership and will never return. More
In for Service I purchased my diesel Passat in May of 2013 and I am very happy with it and the dealership. The customer Service is excellent and the staff is helpful and willing to take the time to answer any questions I have. The one issue I have is the price for the exhaust Fluid is in my option too high. I understand that this is an additional cost of owning a diesel car in today’s world, but to be charged labor ½ hour of labor for this service, which in essence is like topping off other fluid in the car. I give the dealership 5 stars all accounts except for price. The other price items are fair. More

Poor integrity I recently purchased a 2012 Volkswagen Golf tdi from this dealer. The car was certified preowned low miles and came with a 24k mile warranty. I did a I recently purchased a 2012 Volkswagen Golf tdi from this dealer. The car was certified preowned low miles and came with a 24k mile warranty. I did a cpo and chose to pay the taxes and registration fees myself. Shortly after buying the car I had a check engine light, tire pressure sensor and tempeture sensor going crazy. Going in and out of winter mode. The wiper blades were all shot and the left rear mudflap off alignment. Now I realize it's preowned and it won't be perfect. But the mechanical faults I assumed the warranty would cover. I call Hudson Valley about the issues, they were very friendly and said to come in its all covered. I live 2hours away mind you. So I drive out from CT and they made me wait an hour. I was patient and eager to get my car fixed. They take a look at the vehicle and refuse to warranty the issues. They blame me for the failure. The temperature housing is broken and the wires and sensor are corroded from weather exposer. I pointed out that the bumper had been obviously touched up and the grills were new, so they must have missed the mechanical bits broken behind the bumper. Rather they blamed me. Asked if I hit a raccoon, when obviously there's no damage on the bumper or grill. I wasn't asking for a ttrs and I even offered to pay for parts but no. They refused to replace the broken bits on a car I litterally just bought. Gave me a $500 estimate and and didn't even give me new wiper blades. So I left politely and told them I was very disappointed. I ordered $85 worth of parts to disassemble the front bumper and fix the issue myself. I still have to pay taxes and registration fees. I'm just sorely disappointed that the warranty it has is useless, and they will do anything to wiggle out of it. The best part is they implied I was an idiot for not purchasing their 100k mile warranty for $3400. What a terrible dealership. :update: I called volkswagen America and opened up a case. VW was professional and prompt. They were shocked and apologized about the poor service. I returned the parts and payed nothing thanks to VWA. At this point I have 12k miles left on my warranty and no issues with the car. When the warranty runs up I'll take the car to high speed motorsports in milford ct. He's the best and far more affordable than the dealer or other shops. End of the day VW backed their product. Just remember dealerships can be hit or miss. More
