As always, the staff at Hudson Valley Volkswagen was very friendly and helpful. Ashley got my car right in for its oil change and informed me of computer updates that had to be done. I'm a man of 76 years of age and have purchased MANY NEW AUTOMOBILES since the year 1958. My expectation level is a high one. I've bought vehicles from each end of the price spectrum, and have had sales / AUTOMOBILES since the year 1958. My expectation level is a high one. I've bought vehicles from each end of the price spectrum, and have had sales / service contact with at least 35 new car dealers over the span described. My most recent new vehicle purchase was made at Hudson Valley Volkswagen, of Wappingers Falls, N.Y., and my new 2102 VW Passat TDI / SEL was delivered to me today ( 9/30/2011 ) in pristine condition, with my many extra requests performed as desired, and to perfection. My sales person was Mr. Hunter Barton, and a more friendly and solicitous gentleman would be very hard to find. Only two others in this field of new car sales ever approached this level of dedication to the satisfaction of customer needs and desires. I cannot praise Mr. Barton enough, and have commended him to Tom Van Duyne, the General Sales manager on repeated occasions. Tom was as supportive a sales GM as I could have hoped for. I was impressed greatly by the service I received Before the Sale, During the Purchase Process, and Upon Delivery of my beautiful new 2012 VW Passat TDI. I look forward to a very positive future relationship at this dealership for all of my service needs, and, of course, my next new car purchase at Hudson Valley Volkswagen. I went to Hudson valley VW for a problem with my 2004 passat wagon. no other VW dealer service team was able to find the problem with my vw climatronic system, but the team at Hudson valley VW was not on passat wagon. no other VW dealer service team was able to find the problem with my vw climatronic system, but the team at Hudson valley VW was not only able to diagnose the problem but they fixed it right the first time!!! thank you so much Hudson Valley VW for making my VW Passat right again and the price was right too!! The phone etiquette is the worst of any car dealership I have ever dealt with. They never answer the phone, you leave voice mail messages and they don't get returned. This is certainly the case for the Service Department, and I've had issues with Sales team also. They make excuses for everything instead of finding answers, such as there are only 2 people working in service today, the service guy doesn't speak good English, etc. It's like they have an excuse bag they use to answer questions concerns. They expect you to accept their lame excuses. This week I took my car back first thing Wednesday morning for a small scratch (which they tred to fix prior to the sale and didn't do a very good job). First off, my loaner car was not ready, I had to wait 20 or so minutes, making me late for work. They told me the car would be done by Friday, seems long for small scratch, but OK. called Friday, now car won't be ready until Monday. I'm told they're not happy with how it came out. Makes twice now that they have tried to fix it. So now I'm without my convertible for one of the nicest weekends so far this year. I will not deal with them in the future. And there is no way I would recommend them to anyone I know. More
