I just bought my Honda Civic EX approx. 2 weeks ago and have had to bring it in for the most hilarious issues. NOTHING major, just ridiculous (1) the Door 'stopper'-hinge-holder to keep the door propped op have had to bring it in for the most hilarious issues. NOTHING major, just ridiculous (1) the Door 'stopper'-hinge-holder to keep the door propped open, and the most current (2) the horn ... :-/ BUT despite the small inconvenience of these "issues" it has been quite a pleasure dealing with this dealership. Erin Cabildo is AWESOME, what a pleasant personality he and his team have, and great customer service. I've dropped my car off to them in the morning and within a day or two they give me a call as soon as it is ready (never forgetting about me) and that's it. Of course I am sure if I needed to stay and wait they would get my car done sooner, but fortunately I have a boyfriend who doesn't mind being my chauffer :). The real test will be if I do have to wait for the repair, and if I need to borrow a loaner from them. I shall see how that will pan out, but I will review when that occurs, otherwise as of this moment I am really happy how Erin (and the whole service team) has treated me, and my boyfriend who also purchased from them. There isn't much else to write because I'm not complaining... it's just worth it to purchase a car here. More
After doing a fair amount of research on cars and car buying as well as reading numerous dealer reviews, I requested quotes over the Internet from several Long Island Honda dealers. Within a few email buying as well as reading numerous dealer reviews, I requested quotes over the Internet from several Long Island Honda dealers. Within a few emails back and forth, Nina Ahmed-Rathore offered a quote -- as I had specified, one that included all charges and fees -- and also added what the DMV fees and sales tax would be. She answered all my questions and assured me that her quote plus the specified DMV fees and tax was the bottom-line number with nothing else to be added. With that, I took a ride to Huntington Honda. Huntington Honda is a busy dealership on a Saturday, but Nina put me together with Anthony Alfaro and he never once tried to rush me through anything. He patiently walked me through the major features of the car and even arranged a test drive of the actual car I was planning on purchasing. I had test driven a car at another dealership but did not feel as comfortable as I did during the drive with Anthony -- he seemed willing to spend as much time as necessary to allow me to get a good feel for the fit and handling of the car. There is no such thing as a "handshake on a deal" over email, but Nina had assured me that the numbers we had discussed were already approved and entered into their system and that she would completely apprise whomever I worked with of that fact. I have to admit that there were a couple of instances during my sit down over the paperwork with Anthony and later on with Bob Hertzka, the Finance Manager, that several fees might have caused Nina's number to change. But Huntington Honda kept its word and the number that Nina had quoted me was still rock solid in the end. I bought my first Honda from Huntington many years ago and back then, there was no stress, no pressure, no games. Nina, Anthony and Bob have kept up that tradition. It was a pleasure doing business with Huntington Honda then and it was a pleasure now. I would recommend Huntington Honda highly and without reservation. More
I just purchased 2010 Accord LX-P from Michael at Huntington Honda. I went there after checking out their online inventory. Because I heard and read about many bad cases about the (used) car purchases, I was a little bit worried. I was going to just walk out if they begin to put non-sense additional charges on top of the car price. Michael who helped me throughout the whole process was an honest sales consultant. He was clear about what was the price of the car and what are the additional cost on top of it. (Only the reasonable ones like taxes, registration, title, inspection. No ridiculous fees such as delivery charge, documentation fees, car ready cost, etc etc.) And throught out the whole process, he was very friendly and nice. (This was my first car purchase in US & it is a very complex process with many documents, so there were many things that I couldn't follow quickly. Whenever I could not understand something, I asked him to explain it again, and he delightfully re-explained it.) So, yes. If someone I know plans to buy a Honda used car, I will definitely recommend him to them. More

Thanks a lot to Andy Kitzen for prompt response and taking care of this case on a priority basis. It's always better late than never! Thanks again! Original Post: 7/12/2013 12:02:06 AM =============================== Recently I’ve purchased a pre-owned Honda certified used car (Civic 2010) and I had really a bad experience with Huntington Honda. After a 2.5 months of wait I've decided to write a review: I went to Huntington Honda West. I took a print out of their online price and finalized the car. The sales man explained me the price break up and tax calculation in his hand written sales order, I signed the order and he took it the manager for final paper work and financing. After finishing paper work the manager called me to his desk and suddenly started showing up how much installment I’ve to pay for an ‘Extended Warranty’. He described the thing as if the EMI includes the cost of car as well as extra warranty and the delta is very nominal (Actually the EMI amount of the car and yearly charge for that Extended Warranty was almost same around $259 and so he played the tricks to sell the extra warranty). When I realized the ‘Extended Warranty’ was costing me extra $1395, I decided to cancel it and submitted the cancellation form the very NEXT DAY of the purchase. He said it’ll be cancelled within 4-6 weeks. But still I found there was some DISCREPANCY of $295 in the Final financed amount and the price in the sales order which the sales man provided me initially. He was trying to convince me that it’s some tax thing… and finally told me that it’s because of Theft protection device in the car and that can’t be removed or cancelled. When I asked why didn't he tell me before ... he said ‘SORRY’!!! This is even NOT the END of the STORY. I used to follow up over phone regarding extended warranty cancellation status and every time they asked me to wait for 4 to 6 weeks. After 6 weeks when I visited the branch in person, after a long wait the sales man talked to me and informed that they DIDN'T RECEIVE ANY CANCELLATION FORM because that manager already left the company (even though I submitted the cancellation form in front of the sales man and talked to him several times over phone regarding the cancellation status)!! That day I resubmitted the cancellation form and it’s been total 2.5 months and still waiting for that money back! Another horrified thing I discovered on that day. That another $295 discrepancy was actually an extra ‘After Sell’ fee (but they never mentioned about it and it’s not there in their website) and the manger never showed me that computerized final sales order and I didn't even signed that form. I realized it when on my request the sales man gave me that copy. So please be extremely careful about these people, their tricks and hidden costs if you decide to buy a car from them. Also be informed that these kind of warranties can only be cancelled through the dealer, NOT by calling the insurance company!!! Now Hoping that I’ll get back at least $1395 if not another $295 of After Sell hidden fee. More
Talk about a great day; I wanted to trade-in my 2010 Ford Taurus SHO, and my boyfriend needed to have some issues corrected on his 'Used' Honda Civic which was purchased 6 months ago at this same dealership Taurus SHO, and my boyfriend needed to have some issues corrected on his 'Used' Honda Civic which was purchased 6 months ago at this same dealership with the same salesperson (Josh), so this was my opportunity and it was perfect timing. My boyfriend Steve and I arrive at Huntington Honda for his 9 am service appointment (the service department from what I've heard from him is 'very nice and accommodating'). We walk in the front door and Josh happened to be standing right there to greet us. He walked outside with me to check out my current vehicle/ trade-in in order to gather information from me, which I commend him a lot for covertly completing the 'boring' side of purchasing a vehicle by having me focus completely on what I was looking for, I was in and out in no time. Maybe the quick process is just a common theme with Honda because of the quality of the car, I wouldn't know because this will be the first time I no longer own a Ford or Chevy, and IM SO EXCITED! Josh is an excellent guy to buy a car from, UNLESS you love being rushed, pushed, shoved, fast-talked to, intimidated, confused, manipulated, coerced, lied and forced by a salesman --than he isn't your guy. He just makes buying a car seem like child's play. He is very laid back, probably because he is confident in the cars he sells and the company he works for. I would say that is a good sign about whether or not to trust the product and service by the attitude of the employee(s). I am just really happy and can not wait to trade my car in (they are getting it ready for me :):):):):):):):) Thanks a lot Josh! More
Purchased a certified pre-owned Honda CRV. Checked out vehicles online before going to dealer. Went to dealership without really planning to buy that day (my intention was to go to several different deal vehicles online before going to dealer. Went to dealership without really planning to buy that day (my intention was to go to several different dealers). Was approached by sales person who was not pushy or arrogant who took me for test drive and answered all my questions. He demonstrated that he was eager to be helpful, but gave me the space I needed to make my decision without feeling like I was being pushed. I have already recommended the Huntington Honda to another person who is looking to purchase a used vehicle. More
Worst car buying experience ever!!!! From the long wait, to the lies and false pretense that was used to acquire my signature on documentation this was a complete nightmare. People who should be helping pro to the lies and false pretense that was used to acquire my signature on documentation this was a complete nightmare. People who should be helping provide me information as well as listening to my needs and wants instead only care only about making money. After I realized that that I had been fooled I went back to the dealership in hopes of them working with me to address my issues. They were unwilling to offer any assistance and basically insulted my intelligence by telling me some more lies. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone, especially first time buyers. After all this I was contacted by Mohamed and scheduled an appointment to meet with him. He sat with us and explained in detail our different options. He apologized for the horrible service we received previously and tried to help us. I was grateful for the effort. More
