I had an overall pleasing experience with Huntington Honda. My wife was pregnant and we needed an upgrade. Michael Anthony was our salesman. He was not "pushy" which made us feel comfortable. My husband and I had a very friendly experience. Our salesman of course sealed the deal. We were looking for a used car and because Steve said the right things, was a happy person and we had lots of ti salesman of course sealed the deal. How great was that? The other salesmen were very nice and helpful also. The dealership is a friendly one. A few items had to be taken care of and they were. All good with this sale. In the past month I have had to purchase two cars from Huntington Honda West. The first was by choice because the manager, Andy Kitzen, has been instrumental in helping me find nice reliable cars over th Huntington Honda West. The second was due to a car accident where my car was totalled. Alam kabir was my salesman the first time and was so kind, helpful and sincere that I requested him for the second purchase. This time he was extremely compassionate and helpful. Georgia Anagnostopoulos was instrumental in helping with financing each time. I choose to go to Huntington Honda West because the staff make the purchasing of a vehicle a pleasant experience and I continue to use them for service because I feel Jerome, Erin and Jesse are honest and always treat me well. I never have to wait too long. More
I went in today 9-28-12 to finalize a lease on a 12 accord LX for 189 per month, sign and drive. The salesperson had written this deal down on a piece of paper at my request earlier in the week. When I came back today, the salesperson said he had good news, his manager approved my deal for me at 235 a month. The salesman also pressured me to give him my credit card so that he could show his manager I was committed to doing a deal today. I told him that his manager could come over and look at my credit card if he wanted to. When the salesman refused to honor the deal he put in writing, I got up to leave but he insisted I stay so his manager could come over. The manager came over and said the best he could do is 212 a month sign and drive. While this may be a decent deal I really did not appreciate the misrepresentation of the salesman and I left. The manager tried to attribute this to a miscommunication. There was no miscommunication. I have it in writing. This was done deliberately. When I got home I looked at my lease from Nardy Honda and it turns out that my buy out on the car is very attractive so that's the way I'm going to go. I even called my old salesperson at Nardy to see if she could match the 212 a month but she was out of 12 LX Accords. I asked her advice on the buy out and she said that would be my best option - and she does not make money on that. For anyone considering this dealer beware of their deceptive tactics. The salesperson may quote you a very appealing price and even put it in writing. But until a manager approves that representation, its meaningless. Go to Nardy - they are straight shooters and fair. No games like this. Addendum: After I wrote this review I got a very apologetic call from some type of manager who said she would honor the original deal at 189 if I came back today only. This was later the same day so i dont think they could have known i wrote this review because it takes time to be posted after approval on this site. Based on this experience I did not want to do business with these people. I'm glad I didn't go back because the next day there was an ad in Newsday from this dealership for a higher model accord with leather for less money than I was ready to pay them in the original deal. I have no doubt that this was part of their custom and practice for people that walk out on the initial deception. Based on this experience I do not believe anything this dealer has to say including advertisements in the paper. More
Purchased a car 2 weeks ago and dealt with Rob Parnagia, who was very friendly and extremely helpful. Within 24 hours of picking up the car we noticed a noise the front tire was making and called right away who was very friendly and extremely helpful. Rob nicely asked the Service Mgr to accodomodate us and take the car in for service being that we literally just drove it off the lot. The manager Erin yelled back at him "they will have to wait, I am 2 weeks behind for a rental". Very unprofessional. During our buying process we were very impressed with the service we were told we would receive (extended house, 32 rental cars, 12 bays, etc). After back and forth all last week, I went in on Friday for Erin to diagnose it and was told they would have the part by this past Monday however he could not give me a rental car for 2 more weeks! I feel this is extremely unacceptable and the car should have never left the lot with the noise it was making that day. Now I have the car and cannot get an appt, a rental car or even a phone call back trying to work something out. My husband and I have made numerous calls and left several messages and nothing. It's a shame because the experience of purchasing the care was smooth and flawless with Rob and Jose (the finance mgr) and it is now tainted by the lack of customer service their SERVICE department practices. I hope to have this resolved soon and will glady write another review once I can drive the car. More

That Steven Berko made buying our 2008 Honda Odyssey the ABSOLUTE BEST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER! Ernest and I had so much fun with Steven, it felt like buying a car from a family member. We bonded instantly and there was so much laughter doing this deal together we left the dealership no only with a car we absolutely love but with a smile on our faces. Everyone at Hunginton Honda is very friendly and professional, but Steven Berko truly made this experience an amazing event! Steven introduced us to Jose Lopez the financing extraordinary who was able to work with us to get financing for our car! If we have to buy another car we will definitely come back to Huntington Honda and we will recommend our friends and family to this dealership. More
When I arrived at Huntington Honda, I informed the sales rep of my price range, and monthly payment range that I was looking for. He showed me a couple cars in my price range, one of which I happened to be rep of my price range, and monthly payment range that I was looking for. He showed me a couple cars in my price range, one of which I happened to be interested in. I test drove the car, looked it over, decided to buy. I went to Jose, the finance worker, and informed him that I had a co-signer who was not in the area. He told me that she could go online and enter her information and that when he receives it, then he can send our information to the banks to see what kind of deals we could get. Great. The next day, I had to call Jose because he never called me back and he still had nothing to tell me. He then called back hours after he said he would, with estimates and prices that I wasn't thrilled about, but agreed to go through with the sale because I was in need of a vehicle. Jose told me that we would be able to fax my co-signer the paperwork, she could have it notorized and faxed back. Fine. I then call Jose back to find out the status of the paperwork and he tells me that it cannot be faxed, but that my co-signer (who lives 3 hours away) must come to Huntington Honda to fill out the paperwork and sign the necessary forms. I told him that we would be there the next day. He asked me to come in and sign some forms in the meantime, knowing that I do not have a car to get back and forth, and knowing that I wouldnt be able to bring the car home that day. I obviously told him no, but he was just looking to seal the deal. I told him that I could not make it to him any earlier then 5pm the following day, and asked if my registration would be able to be transferred and I could bring the car home that day. He told me yes, to come in at 5pm and we could seal the deal. (I was obviously mad that I had to wait another day to get a car, but once again, I settled and did what I had to do because I was in need). My co-signer and I show up to Huntington Honda the next day at 5pm and Jose begins to tell us different prices then the estimate that he had told us over the phone the previous day. Somehow, magically, the monthly payments that he was now telling me I would have were a lot higher then he originally estimated the previous day, and that was without the extended warrantee. He knew what my price range was, and told me what I wanted to hear knowing that he would get me in the office, and there was no way I would not buy the car after having my co-signer drive 3 hours to him, right? Wrong. I asked him what he could do for me, after wasting my time and having us drive all the way there for no reason. He told me there was nothing he could do, (and he could not throw in the extended warrantee which other dealerships have done.) He told me that I would not get approved at any bank for the loan that I wanted, and that I would not get an interest rate any lower then what he was offering me. He also told me that 4 out of the 5 banks that he tried did not approve me. He made me feel desperate, and EVEN THOUGH I WAS VERY UNHAPPY AND ANGRY BECAUSE HE HAD LIED TO US SO MANY TIMES, I agreed to buy the car ANYWAY. I told him to go through with the paperwork because I needed the car that night for work the following day. HE THEN TOLD ME THEREW AS NO POSSIBLE WAY I COULD HAVE THE CAR THAT NIGHT BECAUSE THE DMV WAS CLOSED AND HE COULD NOT REGISTER THE CAR. ***I TOLD HIM THAT WE WOULD NOT BE THERE UNTIL 5PM THAT DAY AND HE TOLD ME THAT I COULD TAKE THE CAR THAT SAME NIGHT KNOWING THAT THE DMV WOULD BE CLOSED*** Needless to say, I walked out of Huntington Honda at that point. I tried to buy a car from Huntington Honda for 3 days, and for 3 days I was lied to, and hustled, and almost suckered into buying a car that THE AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKS DIDNT EVEN WORK. Thank God I didnt!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE VERY NEXT DAY I WENT TO ANOTHER HONDA DEALERSHIP AND GOT A NEWER CAR FOR A LOWER PRICE WITH LESS MILES, A LOWER INTEREST RATE, A LOWER MONTHLY PAYMENT AND THE EXTENDED WARRANTEE FOR ONLY $10 PER MONTH!!!!!! They also gave me a rental car for FREE to use while they PAINTED it for me for FREE. I truly feel that Jose tried to take advantage of the fact that I was a first time buyer and not experience or knowledgeable of the deals that are out there or the benefits of shopping around. He made me feel desperate so that I would buy this car, and I literally CRIED in his office because he wasted my time. I am SO happy that I made the right decision to NOT buy that car from Huntington Honda because in the end, I got the deal that Jose told me that I would NEVER get. (And I got it in less then 6 hours). :) More
