I was told my credit check would be a "soft inquiry"! NOT! I went into O'Brien used car dealership to look at a Ford F150. My salesperson Justin Nielsen and the sales manager Ted Peoples did an outstanding job I went into O'Brien used car dealership to look at a Ford F150. My salesperson Justin Nielsen and the sales manager Ted Peoples did an outstanding job getting me a fair price on my trade and on the payment of the truck. Unfortunately I was unable to make the purchase but because of their effort I was going to definitely come back at a later date! However a few days later, I was notified by my Credit monitoring that my credit took a 9 pt drop! The reason is because O'Brien did a "HARD" Inquiry on my credit and not a Soft pull as I was first told. There was NO reason for the hard pull as I was just seeing my options to get out of my Elantra lease. I reached out to O'Brien finance multiple times and I have yet to hear back from anyone. Every time I've called it's "we will get back with you" and to this date, almost 1 month later I have not heard back from my multiple calls to their finance director. Well all that good praise for Justin and Ted just went out the window and I took my daughter to get a new car elsewhere and will advise others to do the same if they value their credit scores. More
