I’m sure Reliable Chevrolet/Infiniti of Springfield will respond with a polished explanation about how it “did everything possible.” Unfortunately for them, I kept the contracts, texts, rental communication respond with a polished explanation about how it “did everything possible.” Unfortunately for them, I kept the contracts, texts, rental communications, notices, and timeline. Receipts are inconvenient that way. On June 13, I signed purchase and financing documents for a QX60 Autograph, VIN 5N1AL1HU6TC342110. I paid an $8,800 down payment, allowed Reliable to run my credit, obtained insurance, and was promised the hail damage would be repaired within 7–10 business days. It was a great deal, and I was excited about that vehicle. Had Reliable admitted the repairs cost more than expected or it had gotten too far upside down, I would have had more grace. Honesty is free, after all. Instead, Reliable gave us a loaner and spent nearly two months saying the QX60 was “almost done.” Sales manager Victor Rivera first blamed the delay on someone quitting at the body shop. He later promised it would be finished by July 31 and said he was not worried about our August 10 vacation. During that call, I told Victor his communication made me uncomfortable, I believed he was lying, and I no longer wanted to hear from him. He still promised July 31. Bold strategy. On July 29, I was told the QX60 was “in paint and looking good.” On August 3, I received this text: “The car is not able to be finished sorry I don’t have better news.” That was it. Somehow, it went from “in paint and looking good” to impossible to finish.. in five days. The truth surfaced when I needed the vehicle for the vacation I had repeatedly mentioned. Reliable demanded its loaner back, said it would refund my money, and lmk I could not purchase the QX60. General manager Eric Shoemaker ultimately paid for our vacation rental, which I appreciate. Naturally, even that became another communication adventure. I saw texts from Victor telling the rental company I would pay and approving upgrades under: “Lindsey Fearing approves of this request.” Interesting, considering Lindsey Fearing had not approved it. Sounds crazy? I agree. I refused to pick up the refund check because I did not agree to Reliable unilaterally terminating our signed contract. I put that in writing and explained that returning my money did not mean I accepted the cancellation. Reliable responded by not responding and sent the check through FedEx anyway. Reliable later sent other options, but those did not replace the specific QX60 Autograph, its features and price, or nearly two months we lost. Michael was the only person at Reliable who treated us respectfully and tried to help. If you must shop there, use Michael. I’m also concerned he may not have been paid. He did his job and made the sale; management chose not to honor it. Infiniti, pay the man. After Reliable took back its loaner, our family had one vehicle while managing work and two active kiddos. We tried to wait while consulting attorneys, but once school started, our hands were tied. Our kids still needed transportation even while Reliable apparently needed more time to locate honesty. Thankfully, Mike at THOMPSON SALES showed us how buying a vehicle should work. He was honest, explained everything, communicated clearly, and helped us purchase a Buick Enclave Sport Touring. No mysterious timeline. No contradictory updates. No FedEx breakup check. Just an honest car deal. Imagine that. In a world where corporate America seems to run everything, I will not quietly watch consumers be taken advantage of. Speaking up is not creating drama Reliable created plenty without my help. It is about accountability and helping other consumers know what they could be walking into. I retained the documentation, filed a complaint with the Missouri Attorney General, and am pursuing my legal options. Based on my documented experience, I cannot and would not ever recommend Reliable Chevrolet/Infiniti of Springfield. But I absolutely recommend Mike at THOMPSON SALES. More

Unethical Dealership! I’m an out of state buyer and chose to speak directly with the used car manager to begin with. I spoke with “K” on Tuesday, and we finalized I’m an out of state buyer and chose to speak directly with the used car manager to begin with. I spoke with “K” on Tuesday, and we finalized the deal except for a few details. He stated that we would wrap things up the following morning. “M.H” the salesman got involved in the deal and things went sideways from there. “K” was not at work on Wednesday and that’s when the lies began. I asked to sign the papers and begin the purchasing process. All of the sudden I was told that I couldn’t use my credit union to finance the car nor was I allowed to pay for the vehicle outright. This was not the discussion I had with “K.” I received a call later in the day that the car had been sold. They stated that they had an identical car for me to purchase as a backup plan :) now that’s funny! The dealership completely wasted my time and strung me along. They are unethical, dishonest, and not trustworthy. Nor do they deserve your business as a consumer. Do yourself a favor and move on. More
Finally found an honest, knowledgeable and professional Infiniti dealership. Got a good price on my new car and a fair price for my trade. Had to drive 250 miles but it was worth it.
