New vehicle purchase I had my best experience at your dealership I’ve had since around 2013...I’ve previously purchased a Hyundai Sonata and an Elantra from your dealershi I had my best experience at your dealership I’ve had since around 2013...I’ve previously purchased a Hyundai Sonata and an Elantra from your dealership as my previous vehicles and both held up very well as a commuter into D.C. daily...this time I purchased an elantra SE and Matt Ellington was a huge help to me...being in the tough financial position I am being divorced and as a first responder with a busy schedule, Matt gave me all the info I needed for a basic fuel efficient safe vehicle for my toddler son and I...the sale was relatively painless and Matt worked very hard to keep me content within my purchase parameters...I’d recommend Matt to anyone buying or trading in a vehicle and I can honestly give him a 10/10 for his abilities and attention to detail. Totally bad experience At 3:30 on Nov 12, 2019 I had an appointment with Ideal Buick to have my car looked at because the “Check Engine” light was on. When I dropped my car At 3:30 on Nov 12, 2019 I had an appointment with Ideal Buick to have my car looked at because the “Check Engine” light was on. When I dropped my car off I told Justin Rodgers I would just leave it overnight and pick it up the next day. The following morning I talked to Justin and he told me it hadn’t been checked yet and he would get back to me. I waited until 12:00 and contacted Justin and he told me the technician was at lunch and he would check the status with the technician when he returned. At 2: 00 I called again and Justin told me they were a technician short (because of an accident) and the car had not even been checked and it wouldn’t be checked until the following day. I totally understand being short of help but not communicating on my initial call at 9:00 AM the fact my car might not be checked that day is totally unacceptable. Instead, Justin led me to believe the car would be checked and it was not until 2:00 that afternoon I found out differently. He even told me that even when checking it the next day he couldn’t guarantee it would be fixed because a part might need to be ordered and it could run into the following week. When learning this I asked if I could get a loaner car and he told me it was not possible. At this point I contacted the service manager (Marty Harlow) who wasn’t available at the time. However, I did talk to someone in his office and explained the story to her at which point she offered no solution and when I asked about a loaner car she mentioned I can just go to Enterprise. AT this point I had to make arrangements for someone to take me to Ideal to pick up my car because I was without a vehicle. When I arrived to get my car I talked to Marty Harlow and he apologized and told me they would take care of the vehicle the next day but frankly I didn’t want to take that chance. On Nov. 14 I took my vehicle to another dealer whom diagnosed the problem (defective purge valve) and completed the repair all within 2 hours. Bottom line, I will never recommend to anyone to ever frequent Ideal Buick for either car service or sales More
