New, clean, sufficient. We were impressed with our initial email search when , among 5 dealers (Hyundai) we found a very responsive salesman, Ralph Johnson. He worked questions until he had good responses. Once at dealer he showed several Santa Fr e Models. First two were non starters, based on what we wanted in equipment package, color, etc. Third one, while way over our planned budget, hit the jackpot. We got no argument on our Kia trade in price, and put down a very large deposit to cover payment options. We will need continued assistance learning how to use all the electronics, devices, buttons, that far exceeded our expectations in terms of top line extras. Anyway, the initial calls for help once we got home, were met with successful guidance to get over the initial fear that the systems were more tuned for a Jet co-pilot than just ordinary folks. More

I have purchased or leased 6 Hyundai Sonatas and 5 Elantras in the past 30 years. They are very good cars at reasonable cost, are equipped with state-of-the-art safety features, and have the longest Elantras in the past 30 years. They are very good cars at reasonable cost, are equipped with state-of-the-art safety features, and have the longest warranty coverage. I just leased a 2024 Hyundai Elantra SEL from Ideal Hyundai. I compared Elantra prices on various Hyundai dealerships' websites in the Washington DC area. Ideal Hyundai in Frederick offers the greatest dealer discounts compared to other dealerships for identical models and trim levels. I phoned Ralph Johnson before going there and he verified the accuracy of the pricing. Ralph advised me how to get the best price for my trade-in. The dealership has a trade-in relationship with Carmax. Ideal offered me the same trade-in price that Carmax offered. I traded in my previous Elantra and drove out with a new 2024 Elantra. By trading in my previous car to Ideal, I only had to pay Maryland sales tax on the difference in price. Doing it this way, I saved $920 on the state sales tax. If I had sold my car elsewhere and then bought or leased a new car, I would have had to pay sales tax on the entire value of the new car. More
