Totally bad experience At 3:30 on Nov 12, 2019 I had an appointment with Ideal Buick to have my car looked at because the “Check Engine” light was on. When I dropped my car At 3:30 on Nov 12, 2019 I had an appointment with Ideal Buick to have my car looked at because the “Check Engine” light was on. When I dropped my car off I told Justin Rodgers I would just leave it overnight and pick it up the next day. The following morning I talked to Justin and he told me it hadn’t been checked yet and he would get back to me. I waited until 12:00 and contacted Justin and he told me the technician was at lunch and he would check the status with the technician when he returned. At 2: 00 I called again and Justin told me they were a technician short (because of an accident) and the car had not even been checked and it wouldn’t be checked until the following day. I totally understand being short of help but not communicating on my initial call at 9:00 AM the fact my car might not be checked that day is totally unacceptable. Instead, Justin led me to believe the car would be checked and it was not until 2:00 that afternoon I found out differently. He even told me that even when checking it the next day he couldn’t guarantee it would be fixed because a part might need to be ordered and it could run into the following week. When learning this I asked if I could get a loaner car and he told me it was not possible. At this point I contacted the service manager (Marty Harlow) who wasn’t available at the time. However, I did talk to someone in his office and explained the story to her at which point she offered no solution and when I asked about a loaner car she mentioned I can just go to Enterprise. AT this point I had to make arrangements for someone to take me to Ideal to pick up my car because I was without a vehicle. When I arrived to get my car I talked to Marty Harlow and he apologized and told me they would take care of the vehicle the next day but frankly I didn’t want to take that chance. On Nov. 14 I took my vehicle to another dealer whom diagnosed the problem (defective purge valve) and completed the repair all within 2 hours. Bottom line, I will never recommend to anyone to ever frequent Ideal Buick for either car service or sales More

When I returned home, I reviewed the bill as usual and was surprised to discover that I had been charged $35.70 for five quarts of regular oil, not synthetic oil. I compared this charge for oil with my last bill for an oil change at the GM dealer in Green Bay, Wisconsin, from where I moved to the Frederick area last month. Five quarts there cost $12.50. As a new resident of this region, I have received several introductory offers from quick-lube businesses with prices in the $25 range for oil changes. Ideal Buick may not be competitive with its charge for five quarts of oil. -- Joe Gaunt More

Performed service, LOF, Cabin Filter, Rotated tires, Checked vehicle and corre Rose filled out request and stated it would take from 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Typical I did not get any feedback from the service technician what service was performed including if my car needed the brake recall or if my transmission wa I did not get any feedback from the service technician what service was performed including if my car needed the brake recall or if my transmission was a problem when I asked to have it checked because it lurches forward when first putting in gear. I also didn't get my car wash, the plastic and floor liners where still in the car and I had to search the entire parking lot to find my car park in the gravel off the pavement More

Great Customer Service Easy to make an appt to fit my schedule. I needed a key & transmitter made to replace a lost set. The price was thankfully cheaper than expected. Rose in customer service was extremely friendly, professional & knowledgeable. I observed her with other customers while I waited & each received the same treatment as me. I would have given 5 stars, a customer walked out after waiting less than 10 mins for someone to help him. No one was at the desk at the time. I really felt he was too impatient, however, the desk probably should not be left unattended. More
