I was having a problem with my car and brought it in to be looked at. The communication was excellent. They were very honest about the problem and made sure they checked the warranty coverage. I'm updating this review now that I've finally received my Acura TLX... but the entire process dragged on for over three months from start to finish which was frustrating to say the least. It all began my Acura TLX... but the entire process dragged on for over three months from start to finish which was frustrating to say the least. It all began after we finalized negotiations. I was told the title wasn't in yet but should arrive at the Ira Acura dealership in 2-3 weeks so I went ahead with the down payment. When 3 weeks passed without any form of communication I tried reaching out to them directly with 10 calls 5 emails and 3 texts, to which I was ignored and could not get anyone to contact me back. So I ended up writing my initial review of my experience with them on google... and only then did they contact me... About two months into the process (and still being carless) I asked for a fair price reduction on the car to make up for the delays the radio silence early on and the hassle of missing other car options. They ignored my emails for another two weeks before flat out refusing to make any concessions to this terrible experience, exclaiming that they were losing money on the deal! This was kinda weird as they were making it seem like I, as the customer, should feel for them. Meanwhile I'd been without a car for months. Eventually they got the title and set up a notary for me since I'm out of state. The first notary called last minute at 4:15 PM while I was at work and I had to scramble to meet up with him and sign. That's when I spotted errors in the title and legal paperwork. It took six calls to five different employees to sort it out (I am sure at this point you are seeing a pattern when it comes to customer service and communication). Surprisingly they actually admitted it was their mistake and said they would have to resend all of the paperwork... which just added more delays. They insisted on me providing a cashier's check as the form of payment and giving it to the notary when I signed the paper work. They preferred this over wiring the money like I wanted to do initially, claiming the cashiers check would be faster. Eventually the notary received the corrected paperwork and gave me a late Friday call... again... where I had to take off work and meet the notary absolutely last second. So I signed the corrected papers and watched the notary seal the cashier's check in the envelope. Four days later Ira Acura Westwood called me stating that they received the paperwork but not the check (that was sealed in the envelope with the paperwork...). The notary confirmed he put it in there so clearly it got lost on their end. That meant I had to take time off work to go to my bank and cancel the cashier's check that removed tens of thousands of dollars from my account, which was a huge pain lasting several days. Only then could I wire the payment as I'd suggested from the start... go figure. I ended up arranging and paying for my own transportation to get the car here. After all the issues they'd caused it felt like they could've at least covered that. When it arrived I found an undisclosed dent on the passenger door even though I'd asked multiple times about any exterior damage. I do take some fault for that considering it was an out of state car purchase but I thought they would at least be up front and honest about it as it was pretty easy to see and we noticed it right away. I had also asked them to remove the dealership decal as three employees promised when I first placed my downpayment. It took nagging a fourth person right before shipment and even then they botched it leaving sticky residue that picked up dirt and looked awful. My last call with them after delivery, they asked me if I would be willing to edit my review. It seemed like their priority was protecting their online image more than fixing things for the customer. That being said... here is my honest assessment and review of Ira Acura Westwood. All in all the delays errors and lack of real accountability made this a nightmare. I can't recommend Ira Acura Westwood to anyone ever. More
We had our Acura MDX serviced at this dealership. The problem was a hesitation when driving. Hard to diagnose but they fixed the problem. Very professional dealership! The problem was a hesitation when driving. Hard to diagnose but they fixed the problem. Very professional dealership! More
