Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback I completely understand your frustration and I'm sorry for the inconvenience this situation caused. To provide some clarity, the original repair was declined at your initial visit, which meant that parts were not ordered at that time. Since then, the cost of the bumper part has unfortunately increased, and the revised estimate also included additional repair components beyond the original part quote. The initial $800 figure reflected only the part itself, not the labor, paint, or installation costs associated with completing the repair. After reviewing your concerns with our team, we suggested that you may be able to save on the overall cost by working directly with our partnered collision center. This wasn't intended to discourage you from completing the repair with us, but rather to offer a potential cost-saving alternative since certain portions of the work such as painting would have needed to be sublet to that same facility. We'd still like to do whatever we can to help make things right and support the completion of your repair. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify the situation. Our dealership worked directly with Subaru of America and their technical representatives over an extended period to investigate your engine concern. Every diagnostic and administrative step required by Subaru policy was completed thoroughly and documented. The data retrieved from your vehicle indicated repeated high-RPM operation and aggressive driving patterns consistent with track use, which you acknowledged during our discussions. These findings rendered the failure non-warrantable under Subarus published warranty parameters. Despite that, our team continued to advocate on your behalf, submitting all findings and requests for reconsideration through Subarus internal channels. If another Subaru retailer subsequently obtained authorization for engine replacement under warranty, that outcome conflicts with the information and guidance we were given directly by Subaru of America. We have initiated an internal review with Subaru to determine how this decision was reached elsewhere and to ensure procedural consistency across all retailers. Our records, correspondence, and communications with Subaru are available for review, and we stand by the fact that Ira Subaru followed all required steps and went above and beyond to pursue coverage for you within Subarus policies.
