Hello Cindy Bonenfant. I looked into your recent visit and we recommended an oil system flush cleaning which helps remove sludge and other deposits from the engine. We recommended this because you went 10,000 miles before your oil change which is 4,000 over what Subaru recommends. This was offered to you because if your engine build up sludge due to improper oil change services, it will void your warranty. We did try to explain that to you and you husband when you were here. We appreciate you servicing your pervious vehicle, and your current 2024 Crosstrek that you purchased from us, and please understand we do not try to upsell, just recommend what your vehicle needs to operate in the best condition possible. We are also always here to explain any and all service recommendations if you have any questions with them.
