I started working with Jack and I have to say he was the most thorough, honest, and professional salesperson I have ever had the pleasure of working with. When I got to to the dealership (2 hours away) to pick up my car, there was some confusion that resulted in what could have been a bad experience but jack and the staff of manchester Subaru stepped up to the plate and kept their word. I am very impressed with the high level of customer care and professionalism I experienced. I will return to Manchester Subaru for all future purchases, and I will pass 5-6 other Subaru dealerships on my two hour drive there. Way to go Jack, great job! Btw... I got a GREAT deal on my WRX!! We spoke to Joey and test drove a Forester and an Outback in the fall of 2011. On Mother's Day weekend 2012, we were ready. Joey was friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout and not once did we feel pressured, belittled, or harassed. The entire buying process was smooth and stress-free, and we drove away in my brand-new 2012 Subaru Outback later that afternoon. I went to Manchester Subaru in March, 2012, looking for a 2012 5-door WRX. I was told that the inventory in New England, at that time, was next to zero. I test drove a 4-door, but had my heart set on the 5-d 2012 5-door WRX. I was told that the inventory in New England, at that time, was next to zero. Literally 2 days later, I get a phone call & email saying they just had a 2011 come back to them, as the original owner was moving out of country. I was initially disinterested in the potential of buying this car used, however my fears were easily calmed by Joey, who presented me with a detailed vehicle history, ala Carfax, which confirmed that 1) the original buyer bought the car from Manchester Subaru & 2) the dealership had maintained the car, to factory reccomendations, over the approx. 13 months prior to my ownership. It was legit, & Joey ended up helping get me into my dream car at a reasonable price. This is the first car I have personally purchased here, but I had a similarly great experience helping a friend by a 2009 Forester in April 2009. We used the Consumer Reports build and buy program. So we obtained an excellent price from Manchester Subaru and two other dealers. The question was would Manchester give me a fair amount for my trade and wa obtained an excellent price from Manchester Subaru and two other dealers. The question was would Manchester give me a fair amount for my trade and was it overall, worth driving for an hour when there are dealerships within 15 minutes of my home. I am so glad we made the trip. Jack was as nice and cordial in person as he seemed on the phone. He was attentive and helpful. he did not pressure us one little bit. Village Subaru said I had to buy that day if I wanted to keep the quoted price. Subaru of Wakefield said I couldn't take the Forester on a test drive unless i intended to buy that day (It was President's day and they thought they'd be busy, but jeesh.). Manchester's customer service was a welcome change. I was offered a generous trade amount, about 10% higher than I hoped. I was surprised because last year we bought a Chevy Traverse in Woburn for my husband using the same build and buy program. They offered us an abysmally low trade amount for his car - I think in an attempt to make up for the minimal profit made the sale. At any rate, Jack is great and the overall experience was actually pleasant! I love my new Forester and I highly recommend Manchester Subaru and Jack Berkowitz. More
