When I visited Prime Saco I did so under referral however I was disappointed with some of the service I received. Keep in mind I had already shopped the car I wanted online and in person on Sunday. My initial contact with the dealer was to get pre approval for financing so the dealer requested approval for the sticker price which was fine except the sticker price was over $1000.00 more than it was online or when I visited on the previous Sunday (it was now Monday) when I confronted the sales manager about this he indicated that the online price and sticker were not the same which was not satisfactory because the were when I had visited; regardless I should have been offered the internet price as this is how I submitted my application and the add I referenced in my calls with the sales department. After some negotiating and selected the financing that I wanted I was able to get the car for slightly under the asking price. The original approval was for 16900.00 the actual price was 15500+/- and I paid 14999.+/-. During the sale the sales member I was working with mentioned Toyota care or something of the nature but advised me that my car wasn’t eligible as it was not certified pre owned. Another line, I wasn’t certain so I went home and read the add that lead to my interest in the car and sure enough the car was certified pre owned and eligible for the warrantee. Needless to say I made another call to the dealership and spoke to the sales manager which was happy to correct the issue for me by sending me my owner’s manual and warrantee information. You do get a drive train warrantee that is specific to the dealership (prime something or other) as well however you must get your oil changed there which is a bit pricy $36.00 however they do a quick wash of the exterior of your car which helps explain the cost and the wait or nearly an hour! While waiting for my first oil change to be completed a service member comes to me and states that one of the tires has a cut in the sidewall of the tire and suggested that I replace it. My reply was simply that I knew that the tire had the cut in the sidewall because I had noticed it when I had taken the car home which I had previously advised service (surprise not in my file) I also commented that I thought it was unusual that the car received a state inspection from the dealership with a cut in the sidewall because it is not legal for inspections to be completed on automobiles with plugs or tears in the sidewalls of tires; this ended the sales pitch for new tires. These fairly minor factors contribute to my not being able to refer Prime Toyota which I find troubling because there is no doubt that the effort to make the sale and to make me comfortable were defiantly made. More

My husband and I recently made our third purchase through Prime Toyota in Saco, and our 2nd sale with Berto. We continue to go back because we feel as though we are treated like family there. He does not put pressure on you like other salespeople do. He does everything he can to meet your needs, and makes sure you leave feeling happy and satisfied. Dante was a sweetheart and there was absolutely NO pressure at all. If he didn't know something, he found out immediately, and has followed through since our purchase in March 2012. The price we got was fair, however as one other person stated, she got one key and I feel for spending over $18,000 for a used Toyota we should have gotten the second key and not had to pay $230. Who the heck gets ONE key, especially if they lost one and didn't have a spare? HOWEVER, the bumper had many scratches and dents and was replaced, so that did ease the pain of the key somewhat. Thank-you Dante! I had a great experience with everything else and this is our second Rav4 from this dealership, and I will go back someday and recommend my friends also, but will make sure the car has TWO keys next time. No pressure here at all, so once again THANK YOU. More
