Ok, I accept that. Trevor even popped the hood and let me view the belt ( you can see a small glimpse of the belt from a certain angle). I agreed to have it replaced for around $270. About an hour and a half later (2:45pm) Trevor comes to me in the waiting room and informs me he has “some good news and some bad news”. He goes onto say that while the tech was removing the serpentine belt, he torqued the wrench and broke the housing for the thermostat. Good news was that they would fix it without charge. They located an aftermarket thermostat housing at O’Reilly Auto Parts. Trevor told me it was actually more expensive than the original Toyota housing. (Ok). I proceed to wait for another 2 plus hours before my car is finally ready just after 5pm. I will say that I do not fault Trevor for any of this. I have had Trevor as a service advisor in the past and I think he is a great communicator, very professional, and a genuinely nice guy. However, I do fault the service department leadership for being out of touch and what seems like a service department that needs a bit tightening up and a better focus on serving the customer in a timely and efficient manner. There were not many customers in the waiting areas during my 4 HOUR visit. Unfortunately this is a repeat of what I experienced in the past at IRA Toyota. I’ve been in the waiting area for hours, (mind you, with a pre scheduled appointment) just for a simple oil change. Again, I want to emphasize that the only positive aspect of my last several visits, including this one , is that Trevor is a professional and is a good representative for the service department. I understand that he is the customer facing person and is pulled between the front end (customer) and the back end ( techs). Not an easy job, but he remains calm and professional nonetheless. Bottom line here is that I wasted 4 hours of my Saturday for something that should have taken half the time or less. And I paid a hefty sum for it. Shame on you IRA Toyota. There are plenty of other places where I can have my vehicle serviced. I’ve tried to overlook past issues with my time not being valued. No more. You lost this customer. More
Easier to make an appointment. They were very kind and helpful and were interested in my problem. They called me as soon as my car was ready and I was in and out within 10 minutes. I was greeted promptly for service by Kaleb who was very courteous and professional. Next I thought I might be interested in a lease. I leased a Tacoma and was extremely pleased with the service and profe courteous and professional. Next I thought I might be interested in a lease. I leased a Tacoma and was extremely pleased with the service and professional attitude of both John in sales and Brandon in finance. IRA is 60 minutes from my house. I shall travel that distance again when needed due to my positive experience. More
Find it odd that my car did not pass inspection because of wipers. I feeling i had not asked them to check k the wiper arm after having g my windshield replacement it would have passed. Also took over 2 of wipers. I feeling i had not asked them to check k the wiper arm after having g my windshield replacement it would have passed. Also took over 2 hours just for 25000 mile che k up. Seem toyota fails it's own inspection when you don't want to buy extra parts from them asihave had this happen before. They pass your first one but always tries to upset something on the 2nd. More
