I originally came into the dealership on a family recomondation. My car had seen better days and I knew It was time to purchase a new one. I decided to head up to Prime Toyota with my 6 year old son. I was introduced to Berto, and he immediatly made me feel like he had my best interest at heart. He spent considerable time with me, and although I had a tough time making up my mind...was patient and kind to a fault. All the while, my little boy was entertained by the inviting atmoshere, play room and hands on fish tank that kept him ammused for hours. I am a tough sell...yet I never once felt pressured or preyed upon as I have in other dealerships. I finally decided upon a 2010 RAV 4, and was made an offer that I couldn't refuse. I got the vehicle I wanted...at the price I wanted. Upon purchasing, Berto filled the gas tank then took me through the entire vehicle step by step to make sure I understood the inner bells and whistles. I can't express in words just exactly how much it means to me all that they did for me and my children. For myself, being a woman, and after having had several bad past experiences during the car-buying process, I very much appreciated being taken seriously and treated with respect during the entire time we spent with Jim and also with the business manager. I was included in all conversations and my questions were given the same attention as those of my husband's. Jim has a great way with people and an enjoyable sense of humor that adds to his professional sales style.I would definitely recommend this dealership to my friends and family and would certainly suggest that they ask for Jim if they go to Prime Toyota. Customer service and honesty are everything, especially in this economy, and it was obvious to us that Prime seems to have made these values an important part of their sales practice. I've know Liz for a few years, and she had told me to visit Prime, if I needed to trade in my truck. She introduced me to Brent, and helped me out incredibly with my trade in. I was upside down on my truck loan, they managed to lower my payments, and lower my apr by about 3 points. My new car suits my commuter needs, and fits my new family well. I'm a little concerned that they didn't make any money on my deal, but I plan on making that up by recomending all my friends, and also bringing my future business in. The staff were uniformly friendly and helpful without being at all pushy, and the physical atmosphere of the building is friendly and inviting. Tom Hayes, our salesman, was the first automobile salesperson that my husband has ever liked! We walked in knowing exactly what we wanted to buy (a Toyota Tacoma and a Camry), and Tom spent virtually the entire day with us, examining and explaining the various possibilities. He was personable, patient, knowledgeable, never pressuring - a real joy to work with. We also appreciated Mike Horowitz, the business person we worked with. He was efficient without being brusque and got us quickly and painlessly through transactions for two new cars in the same day. Overall, this was by far the most pleasant experience we've ever had in buying a vehicle. If you're in the market for a vehicle, go to Prime Toyota in Saco, Maine and ask for Tom Hayes. We were vey pleased with our experience. Brent is very down to earth, interested in understadning the reasons for why you think you want the vehicle to be sure it fits your true needs / use, if he didn't down to earth, interested in understadning the reasons for why you think you want the vehicle to be sure it fits your true needs / use, if he didn't know something he confirmed his answer, tried hard to achieve the payment target we set and achieved it with more money down. We did not push too hard on the pricing so may have paid more than we could have if we wanted to be agressive. But we know Toyota's are worth the money, so we don't get too wound-up about a few hundred dollars. The pool table is a great idea. Passing the time. Mike H. was very profesional and straight-up. The extended warranty is always a struggle for us. We usually always want it, but by the that time in the process you have given up more money to get the payment down and then struggle to figure out how to pay for the warranty. Knowing what that would cost earlier would be helpful for us. Again, this leads to a feeling we overpaid overall because we did not know all the costs up front. Nice job to the Team. Stay focused on the professional, freindly, attentive customer service and you will continue to beat the competition - we didn't even go to Berlin City which is much closer to us in Windham. More
