It was my first time buying a car. My family all has Toyotas, so I figured Prime would be a great place to start. I told Brent Scott that I was looking for value over everything else. I just needed a reliable used car for a decent price. He searched the database for vehicles that matched my interests and began showing me my options. I ended up buying the first vehicle I was shown. I did look at other options but decided that was the best deal. Everyone I dealt with was very friendly, the show room was very impressive, and I feel that there certified used car program is reassuring when shopping for used vehicles. I am very happy with my purchase. I feel I got exactly what I was looking for and the great customer service was an extra benefit that I really appreciated. I think everyone should at the very least take a look at what Prime has to offer. More
I had the pleasure of having Frank Davenport as a salesman. When I entered the dealership I was there with the intent to test drive a Prius. I was there without my husband, yet Frank showed me the utmost respect and patience. I would absolutely recommend Frank and Prime to any of my friends and family. More
I want to share my total car shopping experience as this was my first time buying a car from a dealership. For those of you currently car shopping, I'm sure that you are aware that you now need to provide was my first time buying a car from a dealership. For those of you currently car shopping, I'm sure that you are aware that you now need to provide your phone# & email when inquiring about cars advertised online. For the past few weeks I have received a plethora of phone calls, some by nice salespeople and others by very pushy salespeople - the type that fit all the negative elements of the stereotypical 'used car dealer'. I had previously test drove a few private sale cars in addition to cars from other dealerships before going to Prime. Because my earlier visit to a different car place was rather unpleasant, I brought a friend along for support. My Prime experience began with an internet inquiry regarding the RAV4. Within minutes of sending it I received a phone call from Jeff, I had a blast chatting with him, he clearly is gifted with a wonderful sense of humor and the ability to truly listen. He is also good at his job as he had me set up an appointment to come in for a test drive. I hung up from my call with Jeff with a smile on my face and a overall good feeling. When I arrived at Prime I was greeted by Mark, for some reason I was expecting a saleswoman and when I mentioned that to Mark, his immediate response was that he would be happy to get me a female salesperson if that would help me feel more comfortable. It wasn't an issue for me, though I appreciated the offer. We then sat down; talked numbers and what I was looking for in a car. At the other car dealerships I was immediately pushed to buy a new car and told that the used cars cost almost as much as the new ones. They didn't even pretend to listen to my needs or concerns they just wanted me to buy a new car. The only cars available for test drives were the 2010's and during the test drives I listened to the salesperson rant about the evils of buying a private sale car and slam the competition while attempting to sell me a new car with all the options. (Apparently men can multitask - who knew?) Like most people I don't do well with negative, pushy salespeople that use fear based ideas to get you to buy something that will benefit them. Life is far too short to have to endure that type of behavior. VERY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE AT PRIME. Mark not only took the time to listen to my needs but he also remembered them. He never once pushed me to purchase a new car. The first car he showed me was a nice car that met my needs and budget, it was also blue which Mark knew was my preferred car color. During the test drive we had a lovely conversation, Mark was extremely respectful to me, my friend and the competition. I truly felt that Mark was sincere when he said that he wanted me to have a car that I feel good about as well as one that didn't exceed my budget. His actions further proved his sincerity. The test drive was a decent distance which enabled me to try a few different driving situations. It was a nice car, but in all honesty I just didn't 'feel' it, I wanted to love it, but I didn't. (I was actually thinking that I was going to look further into one of the private sale cars.) After we returned I was looking at the other used RAV4s that were parked near the one I just test drove and I saw a bright red one. Mark cautioned me that it was a bit more expensive, but I knew that I couldn't leave without test driving it. Mark obliged me and got the car ready to drive - however it was kind of assumed that this was just a fun test drive thing, while I can't speak about what Mark may have been actually thinking, I felt as though he was thinking that the less expensive blue one fit all of my needs and it was a good deal and that this next test drive was more for my entertainment than anything else. Mark wanted me to have a good experience so he gassed up the Red one and off we went. Finally, after a few weeks of test driving and months of research I 'felt it' and knew that this was the car. It is important for me to state that I never once felt pressured from Mark. Obviously he wanted to sell me a car (that is his profession), however he put my needs and concerns first. He listened. Mark was respectful, kind, sincere, accommodating and extremely patient. I can't recommend this man enough, seriously, if you or someone you care about are looking for a car and a salesperson who has integrity, Mark is your guy. Again - by the time I got to Prime, I was feeling emotionally drained from the other car dealerships I had been dealing with (on the phone, internet and in person) and though my chat with Jeff was wonderfully fun, I did have my guard up when I arrived. My experience working with Mark was superior and definitely helped to erase the previous negative encounters from the other places. He was able to answer all of my questions and concerns and actually succeeded in making the car buying process (dare I say) painless and rather enjoyable. I also wanted to express my thanks and gratitude to Jeff, Jason, John and the other gentle people I met while purchasing my car at Prime. Literally EVERY single person I encountered working at Prime were friendly, helpful and happy, one is left with the feeling that people who work at Prime enjoy their jobs and working environment. The energy in that place was absolutely wonderful. I would be remiss if I failed to mention that the Prime show room and service center are extremely kid friendly, I also believe they have WiFi availability because I saw folks using their lap tops next to the cafe. They have created an atmosphere where having to wait to have your car serviced will not bore you. (That and it is across the street from the Saco movie theatre.) So for all of you who are currently car shopping, please check out Prime Motors - they truly know what they are doing and they will treat you with respect and kindness. And if he is available, ask for Mark, he is extremely knowledgeable, respectful and generally a really nice guy. More
I would most definitely recommand prime toyota in saco. Mark was very friendly and answered all our questions. I would recommend Berto to anyone in need of a new or used car. He immediately found cars for me to choose. While discussing and test driving, we found Berto a pleasure to be with. Berto helped us feel comfortable with no pressure. We were looking to trade in our old car for a Rav4, and the entire experience was actually fun - not someth of service, friendliness and efficiency. My wife and I checked out the smaller truck inventories of several dealerships in the Portland and Saco area one Sunday afternoon. We were impressed by the number of options on the lot at Prime. The following Wednesday I stopped in and Berto was recommended to me and we had a good conversation about what I was looking for. The truck was leased the following Saturday in an easy and clear manner. I returned on Wednesday to have things done that were not recommended to be done on the rainy Saturday. Everyone was great to work with and kept me posted on the progress of things. All my questions were answered clearly and completely. This has been a great experience. They have lived up to my expectations of a great dealership. Thanks guys. More
