I’ve been coming to IRA Toyota since 2011, I purchased my Tacoma truck through them. The service has always been great until this past visit. I arrived at my slotted scheduled time. I can only assume due to the construction it took 15-20 minutes before I was checked in for my service. On prior visits one met with their service rep. to go over details and expected maintenance, not so much this time. Ben proceeded to walk around the truck taking pictures on all four sides, filled out his iPad data, and stated sign here. No explanation, nothing, just sign here. After a few questions, I was told how to find the waiting room by navigating the construction site and was told it shouldn’t be more then an hour to service. Two hours later with no update on the status of the vehicle I saw Ben and walked up to him to inquire of the status, he mumbled something about another customer and proceeded to walk off. I waited another fifteen minutes and sent a text to Ben via the opened chat session started at the beginning of my service visit. Again, another ten minutes and no response to my text message. I then proceeded to the on-site work trailer where I found Ben. Ben did not acknowledge me when I entered the trailer, but the only other service technician did, and proceeded to ask “Can I help you?” I explained the situation. Ben then proceeded to wave some papers around stating “I have it right here,” I was waiting for my manger to sign off on it. Two and a half hours for a routine service. Lack of communication was the result of my disappointment and dissatisfaction. Having worked in the service industry myself, I know that customer service can make or break the relationship. Good positive experiences keep customers such as myself coming back. It’s the negative experiences like this that makes me wonder if traveling the hour and a half to IRA Toyota in Saco Maine is worth my time and travel. Hopefully this was a one off experience due to the current construction situation. If not, and this happens again, I will wash my hands of Toyota and take my business elsewhere. More
Roger LaPierre and I, his friend Rick, were running late for the service appointment. We called, and the nice woman on the phone moved the appt up a half hour. When we got to IRA, our wait was short. An attractive young woman with a friendly confident demeanor (our Service Manager, Michelle), came right over and took our information, and showed us to the waiting room. She kept in touch throughout the whole process. The truck needed tires which would not be available for a few days, Michelle solved that problem in a smart way that was also very thoughtful toward Roger and I. We were able to drive the truck home today with the new State Inspection Sticker! The tires are beautiful, the truck runs much better, and even steers more smoothly and easily. Thank you folks at IRA! More

They are extortionist at best. They are like the inspection sticker mafia. Bring a truck in with 20k miles and they fail inspection sticker because of a.single.wiper blade. It took two hours to get a service done when it was supposed to take an hour. Plus, they use texting to apparently be able to talk to the representative who is taking care of your car. I replied to enquire about the time expected for my car to be ready and he never replied back. The representative didn’t even apologize for the long wait. It was a terrible experience. More
Very displeased with recent visit for State Inspection. No consideration given to the fact that this was to be JUST inspection. Only a small text message when it seems that the inspection was completed asking for authorization for repair services that were not due or needed for another 1500 miles. In the text message with no details. Only a link that I could not access. Twenty five minutes later a phone call where I declined further service and was told the car would be returned. Another half hour before I could pay for the inspection. Then only vague directions about the location where my car was located. Overall, almost an hour delay beyond when the inspection was completed to get my car, and NO detail about the cause of the recommendation for further service. More
