THE MYSTERIOUS RATTLE When you call Toyota to report a 'rattle' they take your concerns seriously. But I have to tell you a rattle is cause for humor with most car mechan When you call Toyota to report a 'rattle' they take your concerns seriously. But I have to tell you a rattle is cause for humor with most car mechanics! LOTS OF PEOPLE HEAR RATTLES! Some are from the cap of your water bottle in your cup holder, some are from the lipstick rolling around in your glove compartment, some are from the golf gall in your trunk sliding around when you take a corner. So when you get to Toyota Service they are kind enough to assign a service tech to ride with you to pinpoint your mysterious noise. In my case the strap had broken on my muffler and it caused a loud RATTLE RATTLE RATTLE... so we never left the parking lot. Toyota takes every Rattle seriously. Don't be afraid to tell them you are hearing a rattle (but check your water bottle cap and your glove compartment and your trunk before making the call.) D Coyne More
