This dealer service department, although nice enough to get you to have recalls fixed, I don't think are doing right by their customers. My husband brought his 2014 (so not old at all!) Jeep in to have recalls fixed and after talking with the service department walked away with an over 500 dollar bill for spark plugs, air filters, transmission fluid and rotation of tires. Now I am a woman who doesn't know much about cars but I do know that spark plugs and air filters do not cost that much! I also know that 2 hrs of work on a car to rotate tires and change fluids does not warrant a 500 dollar bill either. I am disappointed in this kind of wheel and deal service. I have never really written a review on any site but I felt compelled to save someone else a 500 dollar bill. Do your research before bringing your car to Island Jeep's service department, so you don't feel like you've been ripped off. I know dealerships have to make money but to me it's still wrong to hurt the consumer, especially loyal ones. What's more , I have leased 4 cars from Manfredi so I've been that loyal customer for the last 10 yrs... I just had my mother lease a jeep with Island ( Joe Smith was the salesman and he I would recommend even with all this)even being annoyed... He was honest at least) and am disappointed and don't know if I'd be back or recommend Island Jeep after this dealing with their service department tactics. Because if you have this type of service department , it leaves a sour taste in your mouth for the Island car dealerships in general. In this day of age when so many people take advantage of others....Do the right thing in business by your customers. Don't take advantage of lack of knowledge or being naive. You will go further in your business with integrity. More
Worst service dept on Staten island Tried to charge me $1500 for a water pump & trans pan. After laughing manager called me back & said $800. Turns out car only needed water pump.
