Island Honda completely surpassed my experience when I decide to try it out again. My sales associate, Melissa Barauidan, was one of the nicest, friendliest people I've met to date living on Maui. She is true representation for the Ohana Spirit, especially when I didn't know simple questions that i probably should have. Instead of playing on my ignorance and taking advantage she explained everything in detail to me and made sure I was comfortable in what I was doing. Additionally Kim (sp?) in Finance was a delight as well. She not only got me a better rate but also explained all of the different forms in depth. I would definitely recommend both Island Honda and Melissa when purchasing a car. More

DON'T GO Here, go to O'ahu I have never witnessed the arrogance of a car dealership as Island Honda. Went to test drive the 16 Pilot. Looked at the sticker price and see an ad I have never witnessed the arrogance of a car dealership as Island Honda. Went to test drive the 16 Pilot. Looked at the sticker price and see an add on "Profit" for $7,995!! Can you believe that? All cars sold new have built in profit, and this dealership wants to soak Maui residents with $8,000. Oh yeah, out the door to test drive, new manager from LA, comes up and flat tells us "I won't let you get the Pilot for under $2,000 over sticker! Now we are talking $10,000 mark up. We have gone to all Honda dealerships on O'ahu and no one marks their cars up like this. They are in lines with Honda pricing. All we on Maui would pay additional is $280 shipping. Sure beats $10,000!! DON'T GO to ISLAND HONDA. Disrespect to us on Maui! More

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! My first time with Honda, NEVER BUY FROM HERE! I visited a total of 3 times in the past 3days. My first visit I believed to be my worst, but actually should have been my saving grace. We were approached by Kyle. All he did was open the doors of a Honda Civic EX. We had to ask him to explain features, he did not offer a test drive. We then went with him after we asked him about finding out figures. As we got to the office, Kyle turns around and says he wants to know if we will buy the car today so he knows if it is worth his time looking at prices! Absolutely disgusting customer service, needless to say we walked away. Yesterday we visited again as were told the leases were good and should give it another try. We were dealt with by Daryl. Perfectly nice sales assistant, not pushy and willing to talk numbers and features etc. We knew we wanted the Honda Civic EX Coupe (automatic transmission). We agree on a price and down payment for a lease, verbally and signed. Agree to pick it up today. Today, we go to the showroom, expecting to pick up the car no problem as paperwork all signed and agreed upon. The car was a manual transmission. Obviously not what we asked for or agreed upon. Daryl understands and shows us a couple of other models within Honda, but if I am spending that amount of money, I want what I asked for. He keeps trying to push a 4-door Civic on us. We ask if they can special order. His reply '60-90 days'. We walk away empty handed. Out of curiosity I check online what they have in stock. THERE WAS ONE IN STOCK! I go back to the dealer (again, my mistake, I shouldn't have bothered). He shows me on the screen, and assures me that its in transit and will still take another 2months to get to the island, which is no use. So I agree to lease the LX rather than the EX. A basic version with no whistles. After a lot of going back and forth, we again verbally agree on a price and I sign. I had to check my diary about meetings tomorrow to know when to pick up the car. So I walk away AGAIN believing I will be picking up a new car tomorrow. I ring Daryl back with a time that suits me. It is here that I lost my patience. He tells me the managers won't agree to sign off on the lease that we had already agreed upon. I am handed to a manager who basically tells me they are refunding my down payment and canceling a contract. This is UNACCEPTABLE customer service. May also be illegal! DO NOT BUY/LEASE FROM HERE! They are complete cowboys. They have now 'screwed' me over twice. I will say that Daryl was perfectly nice the whole time, and made it sound like it was his managers fault BUT we all know salespeople lie. AGAIN, DO NOT GO HERE! More

How many times can you drop the ball? I have emailed the sales team, inquired on the website and even visited the dealership 3 times over several months and every single person has dropped the ball. My first face to face visit I inquired about the new 2015 CRV in November, the sales person who looked tenured knew nothing about it or when he would get it in- I told him more about the car then he knew. He did not offer to call me when it came in or anything....he even said " I think it's got a cvt transmission but I'm not sure" Really! The 2 times I emailed the dealership I got a call in November and wanted them to call me when the 2015 CRV was in, no call from anyone but low and behold I drove by the dealership this week and they have 2- thanks for the call! Not! Then I had a really nice sales person help me in the dealership and I thought wow, this is it, someone who can really help me! Well Not! I asked him if he could email or call ( gave him both contacts) lease prices for all the types of CRVs and civics in stock- never heard back from him......WOW! I will fly to Oahu to get my Honda because not a single person at that dealership deserves my business. And they work on commission??? Wow!!!!! More
