Incredible buying experience even with major setbacks The day started off promising, all numbers and rates discussed over the phone. Only thing left was to sign and shake hands and everything would have b The day started off promising, all numbers and rates discussed over the phone. Only thing left was to sign and shake hands and everything would have been perfect. Everything went south because our insurance tried to hike prices up last minute, and the company we were loaning with gave us faulty information (they told us we didn't need to bring a certified check or bank draft). We traveled by train and boat to get to this dealership, and were now sitting with a higher insurance quote and no way to contact the company responsible for our loan, it seemed like we came all that way for nothing. Enter John Hart, extremely personable and patient. He sat with us and did what he could regarding insurance and the loan. Him and the Island team really came through that day and even got us a better rate than what we came in with. Incredibly helpful and patient, I can honestly say he is one of the best salesmen and people I've dealt with in this industry. All in all, really awesome guy who was knowledgeable, patient, kind and incredibly humorous. Really helped us through that bind. 10/10 would recommend him to anyone looking for a Subaru. All of this would not have been possible in the first place without Ramon Benavides, my first contact from Island Subaru. He helped me negotiate numbers and gave me a deal that other dealers simply couldn't touch. Though he was not there in person today, he constantly checked in via text to make sure everything was good. You could tell he genuinely cared about how I was being treated and not just about the sale. John Hart and Ramon Benavides as incredible members of the team. So too is Ms. Candice Steele who made paperwork painless and easy to understand. If I had to do it all again, even with worse circumstances and set backs, I would come to Island Subaru first. More
